Air Force sucks so i wonder if BK rest tommy or at least get hendrix some more reps? It's an away game so he'd probably get cheers when entering the game instead of the boos he'd surely get at home a'la tommy and purdue.

Maybe he'd get that TD this time instead of running out of gas.

ND should be able to run on the Falcons. IF Rees is physically able to play I would start Hendrix and have him hand the ball off ONLY. Man for man the Irish should be able to impose their will on AF. Rees would only see action if Hendrix can't get the job done.

Hendrix has better legs and would be like another running back. Plus the way the defense is playing this game should be over with by halftime.

The win is what matters and bad as he was ND won the game! This is what I was hoping to see from the RahRah Tommy blinders folks...

I am of course joking... I didnt think it was possible to see worse QB play than TRees... I was SOO wrong.

Haha! I was very wrong too! At least now we know what to expect from Hendrix. Geez.

I don't know if you guys ever saw his high school reels, but, even though he didn't look "all-world," the kid was pretty impressive, with arm strength to be extremely capable of making throws at the next level. Even what we had seen from his spot duty before, you saw the tools there. He has flat out regresses to a point that's beyond head scratching when it comes to nerves. It has been said before, and almost jokingly, that maybe he needs to see a sports psychiatrist, but how could that not help him get past whatever takes over his mind when the stage is his?

Now having said all that, it would be interesting - and most fair - to judge the kid on the basis of him knowing, and being able to mentally prepare - to be the starter....to get the majority of 1st team snaps in practice, and see how he performs from opening snap till the final gun. I suspect the outcome might not be much different, but ya never know.

I don't understand why we left Hendrix in. If the goal is to run every play, put an extra back or an extra blocker in there. Actually, run goalline down their throats in a wildcat formation. Hendrix is a waste of a position on the field.

this is assuming they have a wildcat esque package.

if they have spent no time working on it, they wont run it in a game.

I had a thought.

What if.....Hendrix really did win the game for us?

What if Tommy Rees stayed in and threw an interception? Usually he follows one turnover with another. What if it was a pick 6?

Obviously, we'll never know and I'm not trying to put Tommy down but it is a realistic possibility with Tommy if we're honest.

So maybe by not throwing the ball at all -- Hendrix really did win the game for us? :-)
