irishguy773 0
http://my.chicagotribune.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-77826431 2 Children Among 4 Dead in Merrillville Home? Lord I hope Tuitt wasn't involved.... Could you link to the actual article and not the main page of the news site? It's updating constantly, so if there was a Tuitt story at the top, it's gone now. Granted, this is all on a mobile device and mobile website, so maybe it works on a desktop.

JTennant 290
Sounds like Stephon is mama's meal ticket. Kinda reminds me of Bobby Boucher (waterboy) only his mama wouldn't let him play the foozball. When I see crap like this, I get so frustrated. She wants him to make money instead of risking an injury or a drop in stock. Ask clowney how delaying entry worked out....
Archer13 0
Clowney wasn't able to declare for the draft after last season since it was only his 2nd season out of high school. You could ask Leinart or any number of other players though.

Ask clowney how delaying entry worked out.... You mean Lattimore? Clowney isn't eligble until the end of this year. I have zero problem with declaring for the NFL draft. In fact, I support that. I will be clear and say that I would highlight the many benefits of taking the money now versus staying in school to my child, but when your "camp" sends mixed signals and Stephon implies that he'd like to come back and play his senior year while mamma is interviewing agents on his behalf, I don't support... If it's in your kid's heart to come back and play his senior year at Notre Dame or anywhere else, why in the hell would you take that away from him? Rockets Revenge 0
Lol meal ticket. Yeah. She wants him to make money instead of risking an injury or a drop in stock. Ask clowney how delaying entry worked out.... As others have said, he didn't "delay" anything. But the jury is still out on Clowney. Lets see where he ends up in the draft. There are just as many examples of players that stayed and didn't drop their draft stock. Just at ND....Teo, Eifert, Floyd, Smith. In fact, I would argue that coming out early has hurt mor players. Tate, Walker, Rudolph, & Clausen would all have had better starts and/or careers in the NFL if they had stayed another year.

How you can read that from the very little and say she's a money grabber is ridiculous. If he wants to go to the NFL then more power to him. These guys owe their schools very little and if they are first round picks then they should go.

I think either she or dad is a Ga Tech grad as well. I can understand her wanting to hold off on definitive statements at this point, not sure why Stephon made the comment in the first place. Kinda reminds me of Bobby Boucher (waterboy) only his mama wouldn't let him play the foozball. When I see crap like this, I get so frustrated. Isn't Tuitt only at ND because his mom wanted him to take academics seriously? Now we hate her because she's realistic about her son already being a top 20 pick in the draft, in a system where the money difference between #5 and #20 in the first round isn't all that much? And she's right. He'll have out in 3 years at ND and be on track to graduate in one year, while going pro and changing his family tree. It's possible that if he stays, he blows out a knee, loses out on millions, but has his degree. I mean, I'd love for him to stay, but he's certainly not selfish and his mother isn't greedy for him to go pro.

The kids would be smart to explore his options and make a data based decision. Finish the seasons and get evaluated. No harm no foul. Love to have him and Nix back.
