OklahomaIrish 0
Currently USC ranks #61 in recruiting according to rivals. They only have 8 recruits and 4 of them are 3 star guys. Apparently 3 of their commits are looking around. One of their 4 star linebackers is only 196 pounds. They have a 3 star offensive lineman that weighs 267, these guys are of no help immediately. Ogergon is offering a bunch of local kids and they are mainly 3 star guys. Losing Kiffen is certainly hurting their recruiting as this team is in limbo. They won't name a head coach until after the season and most think Ogerg...(heck, I can't spell his name is not going to be the one. He's already been a failure as a head coach. Let's beat this team in the cold on Saturday and send this team into a state of depression.

JayPfromSB 0
Like many big programs, they're banking on the recruiting boost from hiring a big name coach. A great hire could wrest interest from UCLA back to USC. A no name or unknown hire would cement UCLA as the current power in SoCal. Kelly Gruene 26
I suspect they will hire a top tier coach and they will end up with a very nice recruiting class. Hopefully we win big this weekend so that the recruits that are still on the fence between ND and USC begin leaning heavily toward, ultimately sign with, and even better yet enroll at, ND. UCLA is not going anywhere anytime soon MORA has that program going in the right direction!
EddieAngel 615
LOL! I read the title of this post as "USC recruiting in the Taliban." Oddly enough, I didn't find it odd.

I don't see them salvaging a very nice recruiting class. Recruiting is 80% done. They are offering local 3 star guys. Can they only take 15 guys? Anyone know how many they can take? If they're still under sanctions, which I think they are until next year, it's 15 a class with no application to prior classes.
NDhoosier 1,339
I know they have bad numbers right now, but they are considered the favorites for quite a few studs and are in the running for a bunch of other studs. I think they will finish with a respectable class. I dont think it will be a top tier class though.
mtl_irish03 0
Death, taxes and USC recruiting. You'll never keep that monster down.
jon33dn 0
Remember, Kiffen was there to take the hit of sanctions, they will now go out and find a true top tier coach. They will poach a few top guys once they get that guy. Dont doubt that.
JTennant 290
After they hire a home run or grand slam, they'll sign 50 kids in the next two years and their numbers will be back. This year's recruiting class is not that big of a deal.
JayPfromSB 0
The numbers might be there, but they'll have other issues. Signing that many that fast will bolster their depth, but will lead to some horrible imbalances in certain positions as the new coach looks to shore up thin numbers at certain positions. It'll take years before the coach can safely take a limited number at positions without risking next to no depth.
irishguy773 0
If they're still under sanctions, which I think they are until next year, it's 15 a class with no application to prior classes. They can still apply early enrolled recruits to previous years if they still had spots. I believe that (due to last years cluster of a class there) they have a couple spots they can use from last year. I'd think they could end up with a max of 18-ish, but I haven't crunched the numbers exactly. But yes, they are in the last year of their scholarship reductions this year.
