Program falling apart.:laugh::laugh::laugh: Oh good one I get it!! It's like the way ND fans treat Kelly right?? I believe the modern college football dictionary refers to this as "an upset". It's when a team with less talent manages to defy the odds and somehow catch a vastly superior team in a vulnerable state. It is also important to note that teams that get "upset" usually smash the sh*t out of the rest of the scrubs on their schedule and assume a respectable ranking beforehand. This might also apply to BK if he didnt have 4 or 5 close brushes with "upsets" per year. At some point you just realize that your team isn't good enough to suffer "upsets". ND's two losses this year were to the favorite. Last year was one loss to Alabama...can't remember if they were the favorite or not, I think we were technically ranked #1 but the money was on Bama. So in the past two seasons, I guess we were upset once....sorta.

Parseghians theorem 0
Brushes with upsets are not the same thing. We do lose to inferior teams--just hasn't happened yet this year. It will. Nope. Shaw lost. And they only achieved their ranking because of their preseason positioning. Had Stanford played UTAH in WEEK 1 and LOST, they would have never been No. 5. Had Golson come back, ND would have been ranked TOP 10 preseason. Thus having a better starting point BEFORE any games have even been played. Fire Shaw. He got beat by UTAH, an unranked team. Kelly Gruene 26
We do lose to inferior teams--just hasn't happened yet this year. It will. This prediction had been kept in a #2 mayonnaise jar since noon today on Funk and Wagnall's porch. No one knows this except Echo88, in his divine and mystical way. Sure, it could happen this year. Pitt hung with Va Tech today. BYU is pretty good. USC has the athletes to hang. But saying "We do lose to inferior teams" is factually wrong. Not sure you can even rebut that. We haven't lost to an inferior team in going on two years. Weis lost to inferior teams. Kelly did too, with Weis's players. Since then, not so much. artfernisanass 0
While I don't think it is probable, I now believe Notre Dame can actually run the table and win out. If Tommy can just manage the games and not turn the ball over - not asking him to set the world on fire, just manage the game - I think we can win the rest of the games on this schedule. Lol you think if Stanford lost to Utah in week 1 and then summarily executed the rest of their schedule that they couldn't be ranked 5th? Hahahahah got it. Stanford has something highly valuable in the ranking game---respect of the voters. A 11-1 and PAC 12 champion Stanford team could and would be 5th or higher. You do realize if Utah was their only loss that that means they beat Oregon later in the year right? Lol. You fail...again.

You do realize if Utah was their only loss that that means they beat Oregon later in the year right? Lol. You fail...again. Echo, actually YOU LOSE I never said anything about the rest of the season. I said RIGHT NOW, IN WEEK 7, if Stanford had started the season with a loss to UTAH, the wouldn't have reached No. 5. Also, if Stanford had been ranked No. 15, and lost WEEK 1 to UTAH, they might have fallen out of Top 25 ... or close. I said NOTHING about running the table or the rest of the year. Stanford actually fell one in the rankings. Because guess what?? If ND runs the table like I think they will, they will have defeated .... STANFORD!! And be in a BCS bowl. And could have SAME RECORD as this Stanford team you think is the bees knees. But I'll let you keep being happy to say ND sucks, and you don't like them. I'm starting to think you aren't even a fan of the Irish. Why have you been around so long if you hate them so much? And shaw still hasn't done what Kelly has done ... go undefeated in regular season. (which you saw today how AMAZINGLY HARD that is to do). HELL, SABAN ONLY DID IT ONCE AS WELL. And then got lucky when Colt McCoy got injured in the 1st quarter of national title game. But Saban has ALWAYS been given a second shot of sorts. And that is LUCKY too. I was also told tonight that a board member at ND was there when they talked to urban meyer coaching at ND. Urban said he wanted SIX guys to be admitted a year regardless of academic prowess. They told him that isn't how things work here. He told them he didn't want the job. Edited October 13, 2013 by Parseghian's theorem

I realize its easy to point out the 2 year statute of limitations following an undefeated regular season, but it still happened. And don't start with the whole "his players" BS. It's a weak excuse. He's underperforming this year with all of his guys.

Negativity is easy when you've lost faith in your leadership. Please see my posts after the OU game from last year. I miss those. It was the last time I actually thought BK might know what he's doing.
