IrishGuy
I did not read the article.....but did this "writer" interview a leprechaun to determine whether or not the mascot was offensive to him?
dangeruss
I seriously doubt that any irish americans are some how offended by the ND mascot, have they every meet an irish American......probably not.

MantyIrish
3 points 1) Its a mythical creature (like a centaur or unicorn, or gnome) 2) I have met a few Irishmen. The didn't wear green, they weren't short, they didn't have red hair or wear pointy shoes. 3) I work with a leprechaun. Red hair, drinks like a fish, no souled-ginger. He doesn't mind being called a leprechaun at all.
JTennant
Would break both of Nialls arms if he tried to assault our little leprechaun.
