Irishman Part Deaux
You are really complaining about complaining Katzen. You yourself have not said anything instructive. "Oh my gosh, I can not take this negative behavior... I mean come on guys we had an undefeated season last year, let's give this whole coaching staff a pass for this year and next and maybe another year so long as they turn it around eventually" While I am exaggerating your remarks, this is basically what you are implying. Need I remind you, it's year 4. Stop being a loser. We suck, there aren't many ways to sugar coat it, and I bet the coaches really aren't sugar coating it in the film sessions and practice. Am I a fair weather fan? You betcha! Haven't missed a telecast/game since the early 00's when we played Rutgers away. I feel that since I am emotionally involved in my favorite sports team, I get to bitch when we output a terrible football team with no good excuse as to why... We have a 4th year QB, a veteran WR, plenty of skill behind him. We have some experience at RB, and an offensive line with some starts under their belt. We also return a solid defensive unit from last year. We were fed a line that BK would develop our players like no other program in the country because he could take a bunch of rag tag 3* at UC to a BCS bowl game and an undefeated season. Here it is year four and it appears that our players are unprepared schematically and maybe even slightly underdeveloped from a fundamentals standpoint when you compare it to most Irish fan's expectations. Just because posters on here b!tch and moan, doesn't mean they have thrown in the towel. Not everyone on here has the same viewpoint as you, and you need to learn to take that in stride. We all come from different backgrounds and started rooting for Notre Dame at different points in our life. You and other "Peachy Rainbow" folk on here need to get your panties out of a wod and understand there is going to be some disappointment when many of us are led to finally believe that we have a coach who is going to take us out of the dark ages only to realize that we still may be in here for a while. I agree. It's my team and I will Bitch if i want. This team is not good, with or without Golson. The D is playing slow and lost against any QB who can move. I, in no way am throwing in the towel, but losing a few good players is what college football is all about. We were 12-0 and now we are mediocre. Forgive me if i'm wrong, but didn't Alabama lose a couple of key players last year, and the year before and the year before? We need the next man in to step up and grow a pair. #9 is my favorite player on D. Makes mistakes, but with passion. Our MLBs are horrible and they are killing our DLine. They can block Nix with 5 guys and we can't stop the run. Ok. I vented some. Feeling better for now..... Go Irish Beat ASU :kev:

JTennant
I could have sworn it was you and your fellow moaners who were the ones that had your panties in a "wad." I think the definition of the phrase fits your kind much more accurately than the "Peachy Rainbow folk." It's clear there are two basic camps here, with several posters in between and maybe even some that have jumped back and forth. I'm not the one who started a thread asking all of the people in the "it's going to get better somehow someway" camp to put down their pom poms and look at the actual facts in front of us. Someone from your camp went on and on about how we are fair weather fans because our opinions aren't the same as yours. If you guys want to play cheerleader, go ahead. I genuinely appreciate it. It's a freakin message board. We relay messages. If you don't like what some people are saying, you don't have to respond. I'm very sure as soon as we move onto next season and are not playing with a third string QB, I'll look back at this and realize I was an idiot, but for now, I'm going to complain about how bad we suck and how poorly our coach is managing our football team. Kelly Gruene
panties in a "wad." I have always loved this phrase. Descriptive, demeaning, succinct. Reminds me of another of my favorite words, 'skank'. Immediately an image comes to mind, and no more need be said. Not, of course, that there are any skanks reading or posting on DD. I don't think any of us mind the bitching about the lack of player leadership or coaching adjustments... but it is the character sniping at fellow fans and players that really grates on me. None of us have panties in a wod, but you sure do have a huge stick up your ***. I threw in my snipe to make a point - I didn't add anything to the conversation, and just escalated the contention on the board of supposed fans. You are such a bad @ss. It was a spelling error, not an egregious grammatical error. You are implying I am illiterate. In fact that was your lame attempt at a response. Your last ditch effort was like "oh he misspelled something, let's jump on it, because I don't have a good come back" Have fun playing with your pom poms.
