piratey
Well, to be totally fair, he was 50% if you include the INT's. My favorite "Tommy Rees is garbage" stat from Saturday isn't that he started the game 1-5 for 2 INTs and -5yds, that's too obvious as to his ineptitude. It's that his last 7 passes were incomplete and included two straight 3 and outs to seal the deal. Hell, we started the fourth quarter down 27-21 and Tommy finished 1-8 in the money quarter
jfschellcrna
According to the espn ticker, tommy rees's QB rating was 10.3. I think gary Godsey and Pat Dillingham had better ratings it was ESPN's way of making a point........they showed it after they showed all the other qb's with ratings in the 90's and 80's......... IrishPolock
Well, to be totally fair, he was 50% if you include the INT's. Stop it! I bruised my ribs playing hockey last night... so it's very painful when I laugh.
Bergy79
All of the slants or in routes I have seen with Tommy throwing that I have seen have resulted in the ball being behind the WR. Look, I respect Tommy for trying hard and sticking with it here... but simple fact is he was supposed to be a 3rd string QB this season... and for good reason. Exactly, 7 to 15 yard passes are either behind the receiver or over their head, never right on the money in stride so they can max out yards after the catch. I've accepted the fact that we are in for a long season with him at QB and all of the Brian Kelly preseason talk was just a bunch of BS kool-aid that I drank every chance I got! davislove
Can someone tell me outside of T.J Jones, can anyone on this team run a route besides a wide reciver go..DD is a very nice possesion receiver imop... No doubt WR coaching will have to be addressed. Tommy gets credit for the INT's but not many are really his fault. The reason he didn't transfer was because he wouldn't start at many schools, and that includes MAC schools and other weak conferences. Also lots of kids come here because of the schooling, so taking a back seat is alright. Rees is terrible we've all seen enough Kelly should not play him again. We don't know why he didn't transfer. He's started 3 seasons at ND. Why should he leave? All of the slants or in routes I have seen with Tommy throwing that I have seen have resulted in the ball being behind the WR. Spot on IP. I kinda see why all of the passes were to the sidelines. Anything else picked off or nearly picked off.

aidanfromworcester
Tommy Rees is an absolute disgrace. I cannot watch him stand in the pocket and hold onto the ball anymore. He literally gave away the game against Oklahoma. I also think it's bunk that he got suspended for one game for assaulting a police officer, and Golson got suspended the entire year for cheating on a take home exam. If Notre Dame wants to play with the big boys in the SEC they need players like Golson. http://aidanfromworcester.com/2013/10/03/are-notre-dame-fans-being-too-mean-to-terrible-quarterback-tommy-rees-on-twitter/
