irishwavend 705
Is it me or does that BC butthole annoy anyone? First, he needs to learn how to say "er." If you're going to err on the side of mispronouncing it, err on the side over "ar," not "ur." I mean, Jesus "very" is not pronounced vurry. At worst it should be pronounced "vary." I watched him during a Chiefs game where he had to say "Eric Berry." It was painful on my ears. Secondly, he repeats **** poor opinions of his over and over, too. He was talking about the Corey Robinson pass interference FOREVER! Nevermind that it wasn't PI on Corey. The MSU defender was holding his jersey the entire time, so Corey tried to swat him away, yet the MSU defender kept hold! HOW IS THAT PI??? AND, Mayock kept restating his pisspoor opinion about it over and over and over again. Oh, and don't get me started about him PMSing. I loved his last comment of the day, btw, whether I agree or not. Asked if he thought we had a chance against Oklahoma, he said, "No way!" I understand that is likely true, but seriously... I like Mayock's insights many times, but he's really starting to wear on me.

golson5 221
Hes one of the best x and o guys in the business. He doesn't show a bias either way. I like the way he calls a game and think he knows the game better than most for sure
Rattlesnake 54
His comment about it possibly being 4 down territory when tommy and the boys were already out there and lined up on 4th down had me rolling. He also said something stupid about the ball possibly hitting KR's hands on that almost pick that CLEARLY hit him in the hands.. The guy seems to be rooting against ND, too.. Clown. I like the way he calls a game and think he knows the game better than most for sure You are right about that. I've learned more from him than I have from Haden, but I think he is so opinionated and when he's wrong about something, it kinda glares at you when you're watching the same game he is... Rattlesnake 54
He also thought Tommy's arm wasn't coming forward on that pass/almost fumble.. What was he watching?

ndmike88 141
I can't stand how he "loves" this....and" loves" that.
Hughes4Heisman 0
I can't stand how he "loves" this....and" loves" that. Listen to John gruden, all he is ever says is he loves this player and loves that player lol. They will give anyone an analyst job.
Hughes4Heisman 0
He started to annoy me on game 1, year 1. I really do miss Pat Haden and Tom Hammond. That's blasphemy. Nobody misses Tom Hammond, worst ND analyst ever. I rather listen to Don Criqui and he is terrible.
NDhoosier 1,335
He also thought Tommy's arm wasn't coming forward on that pass/almost fumble.. What was he watching? It was pretty clear that his arm was going forward, I am not sure why people think it was that close... I have seen much less forward motion get called a pass. Rattlesnake 54
I used to love Mayock, when did he become such a dooosh? I'm right there with you.. I never really started to dislike him until yesterday.. But in all fairness, he was excessively douchey yesterday.
Shamrocker 0
I think Mayock is great. Then again having to endure hammond and haden for 10 yrs + anyone would be great. Hammond and Haden were the worst prepared and least knowledgable announcers I've ever seen for any team in any sport.
Dayton_Domer 0
Would you want Pat Haden back? Or Tom Hammond? Hicks and Mayock are better IMO
IamSpartacus 0
I liked Tom Hammond's voice, it just reminds me of ND footbal, albeit bad ND football, but I liked him. I didn't mind PAt but he was always sucking hit teeth which was annoying. I really like Mayock. I guess I'm easy, I like anyone...except Gilmore, I hate that guy. I don't like his voice, perspective, anything.
BaltimoreIrishDad 0
I have learned more from Mayock than any other color guy, period. Although he might have some anti ND bias, I think some of yesterday's frustration comes from his bias in favor of defensive backs. With all of the calls against defensive backs yesterday, it might have just seemed like anti ND bias. My frustration: How did the refs not see the punch that led to Kelly's penalty...they were so close they almost got hit.
BigPoppaPump 0
Thats what it was. I think there was another head-scratcher he made yesterday. Thanks for reminding me!!! How about the one where he went on and on praising an MSU defenders coverage on Daniels on a deep post in the endzone...and he continued heaping praise for such great coverage even as the replay blatantly showed Daniels' jersey getting pulled off him... isikorsky 0
He has become a tremendous douche lately. What happened to just announcing the game and not giving your opinion. I am at the point where I just freaking mute the game and listen to the ND game on the radio at the same time. In all fairness, it seems to be a trend - the need for the announcers to constantly talk. I have found it on all the channels (ESPN, CBS etc) and it just really bugs me.
