I wasn't about to welcome you on the JR post that has completely gone to crap. I'm trying to let it die.

 

I hope you don't judge the DD based on that thread. It's actually an awesome board that VERY rarely gets in pissing matches with each other. The usual difference between the DD and the other boards is that the DD has very little arguing among the posters. It's usually a very respectful group of guys.

Thank you Broker, and I thank you all, very much. Very classy. I obviously jumped the gun on my initial opinion of DD based on just one of your guys. So sorry. I think I'll hang around after all.

We expect definite answers, not "I think". We expect life long commitments from all our new members, along with the guarantee that you will provide 10 new members every year. Sir John will overnight the contract for you to sign and return. Be sure it is notorized (SJ is a real stickler about those things). Upon completion of the contract, we have found it works best that, at that time, you notify your family that they are now #2.

Fair question given that I came to the defense of UF's academics. My daughter goes to UF so I know how tough it is to get in (not as tough as ND, of course, but tough for a public university). However, I am absolutely NOT a gator fan. Don't hate 'em, just don't care. I have been a crazed Irish fan ever since a priest told me long ago that all Irish Catholics who cheered for a team other than ND were destined to spend eternity in hell. To this day, I'm not sure he was kidding, because after he said it, he never cracked a smile.

Now that is funny. I protect the Air Force, and all service acadamies from trashing, cause my daughters in the Air Force. But we both are ND

My daughter has a poster of Brady Quinn on her dorm room wall and one of the golden dome on the inside of her door. Her friends continue to ask her what if UF plays ND for the National Championship one day. Where would her loyalties be? Her stock answer: I'm Irish Catholic, and I don't want to go to hell.
