I give little credence to this especially since they were, what, 30 point faves last weekend?

Well, 20.5, and won by 7. But 30 vs. Temple and won by 22. 3 point dog to Mich and lost by 11.

So basically, ND is averaging about 10 points worse than the spread.

So we can expect a 3 point loss this week.

michigan st is No. 1 in total defense but has only played the 119 and 99th ranked total offenses (and one FCS team).

Which sounds great until you see that ND has played the 96th and 118th ranked offenses as well, in addition to Michigan at 52nd.

And ND's defense sits in 56th.

I fear Tommy and the boys could be in a for a long day if they can't get the run going.

Dont be fooled, their defense is still probably the best we will face all year, but I doubt they are truly the best in the nation. The problem Mich St. has is that they have no offense. If anyone mentions that no name team giving up 55 points, then you might as well mention that they gave up 17 points to a terrible no name team as well, so we should score about 40 points...

Their front 7 is solid, it's not "SEC fast" and have a lot of undersized kids. It'll be the best front 7 we see till Stanford for sure.

That said, their secondary might not have an equal in the nation. Isiah Lewis and Darqueze Dennard will both be playing on Sunday next year and Kurtis Drummond looks awfully sharp playing FS...

So you are saying the Tommy Rees arm strength question will be answered this week?
