Plethora of young talent...

I think there are bright spots here and there. The only spot where I think there's truly a ton of talent is the O-line. But those guys take time to gel. RB could be good but it's hard to say -- we've hardly seen the young guys. Defense is going to have holes all over.

I think they do play to the level of competition too often. They did it last year and they seem to do it this year. On paper, this team should be stellar.

Agreed and that is where the coaches and seniors gotta step up. Football is a game of execution and emotion. We are lacking in both areas...

Agree about the next couple of months, but not sure why the future looks so bright. We get back a rusty QB, lose our All-World D-linemen, our starting LT, a starting CB, etc.

I'm not sure what all world d-lineman your talking about. We have Sheldon Day back next year.... I never heard or saw anything from Nix or Tuitt tonight. IMO if both keep it up they won't have any reason to enter the draft after this season, the tape says it all. I saw Nix getting handled easily one on one too many times tonight.

Anyone else fed up with the overly huge gaps our d-lineman are playing with? I could drive a truck through those damn holes.

Offensively, we are a far better passing team than running. Kelly did it the NDnation way tonight, running even when they stacked the box, but down the road he is not going to do that. The great news is that Rees's arm actually is stronger. So, when we to get in other shootouts-which we're going to be playing lots of- we have a chance to put up lots of points if we execute like we're capable of.

Every team is going to exploit our slow linebackers. So, get used to it. Our secondary has been awful all year with blown tackles, assignments and generally getting beat. With the exception of Bennet's pick, tonight was more of the same.

The only thing we do well is pass the ball. Otherwise, everything else has dropped off from last year.

ND allowed 1.8 yards per attempt.
