Does anyone have any recruiting updates? It seems to be a little slow right now with both high school and college ball starting up.. I remember an interview back at the opening where Holley said he was hoping to make a decision either before the season or pretty soon after it begins. Any updates on him or some other guys?

pushing really hard for Elam now that the real kentucky has reared it's ugly head.... coaches had a conference call with him yesterday........ND needs a big time DT with the loss of that kid to FUCLA.....

I saw that, so that's definitely good news. It would be nice if they could get two big boys out of this group (Elam, Holley, Moten, and Frazier). Couple that with Juju Smith and Andrew Williams and that would be lethal

We are out of it with Frazier but you can add Soloman Thomas to the big man list.

They told him that he would be a 4 year starter at NG for ND. Basically saying he would replace Nix right away.

 

Drue Tranquil may decommit and commit to us soon. Surprised it hasnt happened yet to be honest.

 

Most recruits slow down their process to focus on their HS season, so expect recruiting to be slower for the next month or so. On a side note, the staff has begun contacting their top 2015 recruits, QB Gibson was one of their first contacts (same HS team as Sony Michel and Isaiah McKenzie).

1 NG (Thomas Holley, Matt Elam)

1 ILB (??? )

2 best available (another WR if he is elite, a RB ONLY if he is elite, or another Linebacker) - Soloman Thomas, Andrew Williams

I have a funny feeling that we're gonna be looking at a boring end to recruiting. Just not a lot of targets on the board; kinda odd, really.

I agree and would love for this to happen. Starks would be great, if the university gives the green light. Either way, hopefully they will land the best guys available.
