Posted August 15, 200618 yr bad news guys saw this on scout. he says that the Illini are slight favorites over ND
August 15, 200618 yr Author he says he favors them because of the coaches. he said that they are really downt to earth. he said that illinois would have him play both DE and LB. he said at nd he would only play LB. he said that he liked our tradition and that he said our coaches were quote "alright" ??? alright as compared to Ron zook are you serious?????
August 15, 200618 yr Oh well, it's only August. Let's ask 'Tez who he likes better when we're in a BCS game and Illinois just finished up a 4 win season
August 15, 200618 yr Author Oh well, it's only August. Let's ask 'Tez who he likes better when we're in a BCS game and Illinois just finished up a 4 win season four wins shark? you sound very confidant in the Illini!!!
August 15, 200618 yr four wins shark? you sound very confidant in the Illini!!! Sorry forever, I need somebody to smack me for being too nice on my last post lol.
August 15, 200618 yr Oh boy, I can't wait to see what those giddy school girls on the Illi board are going to say about this one. Like you pointed out Shark it's still August and Illinois should be an easy team to beat out head to head by NSD. If Tez actually ends up there then he is a damn fool, but I think that he is Irish.
August 15, 200618 yr Just like you said NDfan, their board is going nuts right now, with comments like,"I bet Lemming drop 'Tez 50 spots in his rankings" and other nonsense. Letter of intent day is about 170 days away, giving plenty of time for OSU, PSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, etc.. to hand out whoopings to the Illini and change 'Tez's mind.
August 15, 200618 yr Let's see how he feels in 4 months when he is comparing W-L records and the different bowl invitations.
August 15, 200618 yr ^ I have a feeling that Illinios will somehow pull this one off. Easy. We try to limit the crazy talk here. Someone give this guy the link to the Illini board jk. If this kid, or any other prospect that we are going after for that matter picks Illinois over us than they need to have their heads examined. I don't know what their telling these guys but suiting up for them won't stop ass whoopins' like PSU put on them last year.
August 15, 200618 yr Well, the kid just might like Illinois more. Is that so hard to believe? Different people have different tastes you know.
August 15, 200618 yr Well, the kid just might like Illinois more. Is that so hard to believe? Different people have different tastes you know. NO, we were unaware of that.
August 15, 200618 yr I wouldn't worry about his comments. Signing day is a long time from now and I just don't think that he chooses illinois in the end. If the main competition for ND is Illinois than I feel very confident that he will end up being irish.
August 15, 200618 yr The only chance IL has is if he does not have a chance to see them play. The best news for the Illini is that he will not be able to visit for the Iowa game.
August 15, 200618 yr The thing that is scary is that he has them as a slight lead right now and it's supposedly because of the coaches. The guys has been to ND 3 times? So, the getting to know coaches period is essentially over at both schools. The idea that records and bowl games matter to him is moot in my opinion. If it was important wouldn't last year have sealed the deal?! Who knows what is going on here. I still find it hard to believe that he goes to Illinois. But, this isn't a good sign.
August 15, 200618 yr I think that Tez has stated that he wants to play for someone who can get him into the NFL, and when all is said and done I'm sure that he'll realize that CW is by far more likely to help him in his career than Zook.
August 15, 200618 yr No doubt I hope we land him too, but I want Donald. That kid is going to be a AJ Hawk. You heard it first here.
August 15, 200618 yr F AJ Hawk, the dude is gonna be meaner and more athletic. In the spirit of Weis & the Patriots, lets go with Willie McGinest or Tedy Bruschi.
