Katzenboyer
Come out at today at noon. Figured this thread could be used to update the rankings of current commits as they are released, both now and throughout the year when Rivals updates, as opposed to making a thread for every player. It drops at NOON ET.
— Irish Illustrated (@NDatRivals) August 19, 2013
My thoughts: Dickerson or Trumbetti get a fourth star, Yeargin makes a big jump, Brent enters the top 100, Elijah Hood lands as the #2 RB in the nation behind Fournette. mcdougal93
If we keep Hood, having him following Bryant is quite a Holtz-ian feat by BK. Man! Are you concerned about losing him? Or is it just because NSD is so far away?
VCDomer
Are you concerned about losing him? Or is it just because NSD is so far away? I have to say... that I am a bit gun shy when it comes to verbal commits and even after they sign the LOI...... Its all part of the recruiting game, but the latest with Vanderdouche brought it to a whole new level. BrianKellyWasNotTheMan
Hood has become a Jaylon Smith type recruiter, or at least something close to him. Seems like he's always supporting ND and being an extra coach for recruits.
Big23Head
Scouts Top 300 is out as well: The 2014 Scout 300 Scout 300 List Dickerson also made a huge jump and is now a four-star and the No. 2 player in the west at his position. At 6-5, 275 pounds, he has a huge frame and looks like a college player right now. He's flexible enough to move around and play multiple positions on the line and shows a great upfield burst. He can finish a play and has high.

Franco
IMO...I've watched the highlights of the top 5 RBs, and I really think that Elijah Hood is at least the 2nd best RB in the nation He has the size of a FB, but the quickness of a RB with breakaway speed

NDhoosier
IMO...I've watched the highlights of the top 5 RBs, and I really think that Elijah Hood is at least the 2nd best RB in the nation He has the size of a FB, but the quickness of a RB with breakaway speed Hood has one of the best highlight videos I have ever seen from a RB, but Fournette is almost as highly regarded as Reggie Bush was coming out of HS. I would have Hood as the #2 RB behind Fournette, but I truly think he is better than the rest of the top-tier RBs in this class. Two Olineman in the top 100, really like seeing back to back classes doing so well at the Oline.
dangeruss
im really not impressed with NDs 10 class ranking up to this point. if it weren't for our very strong OL commits this would probably be a top 20 class (our OL is carrying this class right now). we got some nice DL players but no tuitts or big time studs, same with LB and DB. we need to start landing and keeping these big time defenders. does ND have a real honest chance at landing some 5-star defensive studs right now? Guys like Tuitt don't come around too often. Hayes, Trumbetti and Yeargin are all highly rated defensive front 7 guys with big offer sheets. Still in it for Elam (5* DT), Lorenzo carter (5* DE), Soloman Thomas (big time DL) and Moten (Solid Florida DL). Chances are better with some than others, but ND is still in play for some guys like you want.
golson5
Still in it with Holley as well. And yes, we need to land more of these studs and keep them. Our front 7 next year is thin. 3-4 more front 7 players in this class is a MUST
davislove
There's still plenty of time to land the "big fish". The defensive guys appear to be athletic and may require a few years of development but that's OK. it may mean a strong 2015 class across the board. I just want to keep the rest of the class intact. The Golden Army don't seem to have that buzz that followed the Irish Mob. I think Alex Bars could get shaky.
