First off, I am going to the Notre Dame @ Pitt game. I ordered my plan ticket today. I can't wait. But there are MANY other games on the opening weekend that make me so excited for college football.

Thursday September 1st:

Oregon @ Houston (7:00 PM ET on ESPN2) --> Oregon will be better this season and Houston's Kevin Kolb is a good QB.

UCF @ South Carolina (7:30 PM ET on ESPN) --> Spurrier's first game as Head Coach at South Carolina.

Friday September 2nd:

Arizona @ Utah (8:00 PM ET on ESPN) --> The Post Urban Meyer era at Utah begins. Also, Mike Stoops upstart Arizona team should be better.

Saturday September 3rd:

Miami (OH) @ Ohio State (Noon ET on ABC) --> Watch out for this game, could the Buckeyes be looking ahead at Texas?? Miami will give OSU all they can handle.

TCU @ Oklahoma (Noon ET on ABC) --> TCU is okay, but it will be interesting to watch Oklahoma this year with a new QB and an inexperienced Defense.

Bowling Green @ Wisconsin (Noon ET on ESPN) --> Omar Jacobs could be a legitimate Heisman Candidate this season. If they beat th Badgers in Madison, watch out for the Falcons all year long.

Northern Illinois @ Michigan (3:30 PM ET on ABC) --> Michigan should win easily, but It may be worth watching them to see just how good they will be.

Air Force @ Washington (3:30 PM ET on ABC) --> Ty's first game as U-Dub head coach and it won't be east against an always game AFA team.

Boise State @ Georgia (5:30 PM ET on ESPN) --> This game should be very entertaining. I will only be able to watch the first quarter or so, but I would not be surprised if the Broncos do pull the upset over the Dawgs.

USC @ Hawaii (7:00 PM ET on ESPN2) --> USC should win by 30+, but it may be worth watching for the first hour or so until the ND-Pitt game starts.

Texas A&M @ Clemson (8:00 PM ET on ABC) --> We will all be watching the ND-Pitt game, but this game is big for Big XII and ACC fans. Both teams should be solid.

Notre Dame @ Pitt (8:00 PM ET on ABC) --> As I said, I will be there live to watch it and I can't wait. The Weis era will begin and I think it should be a Win. I do expect a high scoring game though, 35-31 or so. This game is also big for Pitt because it is the start of the Dave Wannstedt era too

Sunday September 4th:

West Virginia @ Syracuse (1:30 ET on ABC) --> New Era for SU. It's a big Big East matchup.

Louisville @ Kentucky (3:30 ET on ESPN) --> I want to see how UL will be this year. I expect them to be very good and they should win by 20+ points.

Virginia Tech @ N.C. State (7:15 PM ET on ESPN2) --> This is the game of the day. VT will be a preseason top 10 team and N.C. State's front 7 should be able to contain Vick, Imoh, and the rest of VT's backfield. If NCST can get their passing game going, they could upset the Hokies. Note: This is also Marcus Vick's first game as the starting QB at VT.

Monday September 5th:

Ole Miss @ Memphis (4:30 PM ET on ESPN) --> DeAngelo Williams could start off a heisman-type season if the Tigers defeat Ole Miss in this game.

Miami (FL) @ Florida State (8:00 PM ET on ABC) --> This is the game of the weekend nationwide. The winner of this game will send a message that they are ready to challenge for the National Title and the loser's hope of a National Title is all but over. This game should be entertaining, but I expect Miami to win by 10 points or so.

Nice analysis of each game. I really think Boise State will beat Georgia. You know what sucks though? I have to find a bar in Dallas that will play the ND-Pitt game because on national TV they'll be playing the Texas A&M-Clemson game.

That's what would have happened to be since I'm going to the University of Miami (Clemson is ACC, so they would show that). However, I'm flying back home to Pittsburgh for the weekend to see the ND-Pitt game live!!

Murph, it's on national tv, but it's regional depending on where you live. Since I live in Texas, A&M takes priority over ND or Pitt.

tell you what, theres 3 or 4 games im really looking forward to that arent nd.....

Bowling Green vs Boise State - Be ready for an old fashioned shoot out I think BG can outgun Boise State though.

Miami(OH) vs Ohio State - Looking to give the bucks another run for their money, should be good to watch.

Wyoming vs Florida - Wyoming looks tough this year, good upset potential.

Wyoming vs Utah - Look for Wyoming to kick Utah off the throne this year.
