IrishWarrior81 0
We are ranked 14th. Teams on our schedule in top 25: Stanford @ 4 Oklahoma @ 16 Michigan @ 17 USC @ 24 Edited August 17, 2013 by IrishWarrior81 Update
Kelly Gruene 26
Win at Michigan and against Oklahoma and be a top 5 team by October 1st.
Fifth Horseman 0
14 seems surprisingly low, though I guess that's a by-product of getting waxed by Bama in the title game.
Jersey Irish 207
Typical ND bias by the voters. We were the only undefeated team in the regular season and have a ton of starters back with a defense that can be better than last year's yet they put Louisville in the Top 10? C'mon man! ndomer4 532
We can't afford to lose a game and we can all thank Louisville's joke of a schedule for that. That sec team is always going to get in but go look at Louisville's schedule and tell me where you see them losing. We can hop louisville no problem with an undefeated season but one slipup and we're going to a bcs bowl at best.

I am not one to throw "bias" around a lot but we deserve a higher ranking than this...

ndmike88 141
14 seems about right. Rees brings a lot of question marks. If Golson would have returned ND would be in the top 10. I expect the defense to be as good as last year. The offense needs to prove itself. BK will earn his $$$ this year.
corysold 0
Agreed. I am not one to throw "bias" around a lot but we deserve a higher ranking than this... I would tend to agree. When you look at the teams in front, I guess there aren't too many where you'd say ND is head and shoulders above them. But Oklahoma St. at 13 sure is a head scratcher. From unranked to end the year to one spot in front of a team who just played for the title? Please.
golson5 221
13 seems about right. We should be ahead of OK state

BlackIrish42 0
Doug Randolph done for season Danny Spond - see other thread Springmann - out for Temple - maybe longer **** sandwich - hold the bun I dunno, I see all those as positions where we have some pretty talented depth and I don't think Randoplh was gonna see the field much this year anyway... golson5 221
Springman was a key backup this year at all dl spots. Tough loss. And hope he'll be ready by spring next yr where we have no depth at DL
nd1989 216
Springman was a key backup this year at all dl spots. Tough loss. And hope he'll be ready by spring next yr where we have no depth at DL Seemed like it is inflammation in his knee and they don't know why. They have it immobilized for a few days, and will get an MRI on Monday. Probably hear more then. It could be something simple, like overworking his legs. But it could be something severe. We'll see.....

ndomer4 532
True but Rochell and Jones have come on as has Stockton. This is not a bad situation, IMO... I've read Stockton has really picked up his game and will provide key depth. Stockton was a big time recruit so I was surprised he never saw the field, but now we might see a little more of him. golson5 221
Cant see Stockton getting much PT being behind Nix and Schwenke, maybe 5 plays a game. Having 2 freshman being top 2 DE backups is not too comforting. At least springmann logged major minutes
