Irish_Convert
I was nosing around TOS and they have a depth chart with him at WR. This is a couple, few days after DD posted a picture of all the WRs on Twitter and Mahone was in it. I'll have to see if I can dig the picture up but I thought it was interesting. Okay, here it is: http://distilleryimage6.ak.instagram.com/db29f49e03ac11e3b9c722000a9e07b7_7.jpg The Twitter post: Toot Daddy Fresh™ @DaVarisDaniels We comin boyy! #NDWideouts best be ready! @mookielassa14 @robert87rains @thunterjr @c_breezy2k12… http://instagram.com/p/c7snwwSg-2/ Edited August 15, 2013 by Irish_Convert

REMND
RB is pretty full and Mahone did not seem like he was going to break through. He has shown some ability in practice so the staff apparently tried him at slot. Slot seems to be part RB and part receiver. He has done really well there from what we have heard. Last year we had Toma. This year we have Amir- Prosise - Mahone and maybe Smith. There was talk early on about Smith at Slot but I have not heard anything in awhile. Too bad because he was an intriguing option. Prosise and Mahone are two really interesting slot options. It almost seems like they are redefining the position. NDhoosier
Nice job Irish 24/7, the rest are walk-ons. Robert Rains is a walk-on as well, but I heard the staff liked him.

Two guys who will end up being really good blockers, and to break off those big runs we need wideouts blocking well downfield like Michael Floyd. There is no Robert Rains. He is not a walk-on WR. He is not in that picture. And you have CERTAINLY not heard that the staff likes him. MyFightingIrish
There's a lot of great young talent in that group. I'm looking for big things from them (collectively) over the next few years... Exciting stuff.
WeaverIrish
I think we might be blowing Mahone outta proportion I think the he won't see much time even at receiver, and if so we are in trouble. It's never a good sign when your 6th string RB is getting a good amount of playing time. Also I think he was surprising at slot, cause he wasn't breaking through at RB and then he made a few plays in a practice at slot.
PursuitAce
The depth chart says Mahone at WR. What am I missing here? I think the best news is that at least by mid-season, BK may have his seven receivers he needs to run his offense. I believe he said that a couple of years ago. Don't think we've seen that much depth yet. Too much offensive talent starting to build up on this team. There's a nice problem.
S.B.IRISH
The thing that surprised me the most is how tall Will Fuller is, he's almost as tall as DaVaris Daniels. He's gonna be a stud for us in the very near future. Wow Daniels, Prosise and Brown have 3 years of eligibility left while Fuller, Robinson, Onawaulu, Mahone and Hunter have 4. That is scary to think about along with the fact we're adding maybe the best of the bunch next year in Justin Brent. We are gonna be deep at skill positions for years to come. A 4* player who's been getting rave reviews by Kelly and staff at slot means we're in trouble. Perhaps you should see a hand full of plays from the kid before you make an asinine comment like that. And 6th string RB? According to who?

You sound like a child. Second, I apologize, I dont really pride myself in remembering the walk-on names, but I do remember a walk-on being talked about last year. He was shown in a couple practice clips and people kept asking about him. Third, nothing like having a person with one post coming in guns blazing.
