Hey everyone, First time poster and life long ND fan i

t's my 1st time posting n wanted to let everyone know that there's a new look to the depth chart on II and wanted to know some thoughts on the new look 2 deep. 2 freshman broke through with Isaac Rochelle n Cole Luke. Also Stanley is at RT with Elmer behind him n Lombard is at RG. Also I noticed Bivin get a switch from C to G. So thoughts???? Some were expected but I was surprised to see W. Mahone penciled in the Slot.

Anyone else shocked to see Mahone as the backup slot receiver?

that was a little surprising to see, never saw him as a wr type.

real excited to see Ronnie Stanley in action, so ND has three freshmen as backups along the OL.

where's Tarean Folston? is he really down that far on the depth chart?

Keep in mind, this is the OPINION of a couple writers who have seen ONE practice at the beginning of camp and talked to various people connected with the program. So, they have more info than we do, but let's not pretend like this is the depth chart released by the team.

What I'm trying to say is, things I'm sure are pretty fluid at this point and a lot of drills are based on seniority, not depth.

Welcome to Domer Domain!

I'm really surprised to see Cole Luke projected as a number 2, but that's a good thing I guess. Mahone being as a back up slot receiver isn't that surprising to me as Coach Kelly has been raving about his ability to catch the football.

Excited about Shumate at Safety and Amir getting the Punt Returns. Redfield already in the 2 deep.

Yeah, but look who Redfield's ahead of, and I'd imagine he'd be lower if Barrati didn't get hurt.

Absolutely not a knock on Redfield. He's going to be phenomenal by the time he leaves ND, but wouldn't look too far into it. Although if someone gets hurt, next man in...

Thank you for clarifying and preventing the implosion of the Domer Domain board. ;)

My guess is this is similar to how Heggie was back up guard last season. Yes, in theory he was on the 2 deep, in reality about 6 other guys needed to get hurt.

My guess is Amir starts at slot, then Prosise, then Bryant, then Mahone, or something to that effect.

The compilation of this is obviously by insiders (Sampson?) cobbling tidbits of information they get.

Rochell is a shock if it is true. I really did not expect that.

The fact that Brown is in front of Robinson might be a good sign that they are hearing good information on Brown. We are hearing great information on Robinson.

Everything that I have read about Amir so far is that he practices with the RBs but mostly scrimmages as a slot. This staff is really looking to fill that slot position. Amir and Prosise are the two I expect to see at slot but we have heard that the staff likes what they have seen of Mahone there.

Good job by Onwuala if he is behind TJ. TJ is going to be moved around and graduates next year. I would rather be behind TJ than Daniels.

If the right side is Stanley (OT) and Lombard (OG), then a lot of folk here look pretty good since they have been advocating for that for a long time.

Randolph is listed at Cat. He could get buried there. I am hoping he ends up at ILB. He is already at 233 and he is 6-2. That does not sound like what you want at Cat who sometimes plays DE.

The projected OL is huge, experienced and talented I think. The average height and weight must be something like 6-5 310.

The only one I hope is changed by the Temple game is ILB. Kelly stated it was a fluid situation, but I hope and expect Grace to start. If he doesnt start the first game, I think he makes an big enough impression to solidify himself as a starter by the halfway point.

Jaylon Smith at 3rd string... that WILL change by years end. That **** just aint right.

Based on the very little info we have, Mahone looked excellent in the slot on video with BK mentioning it. He probably won't start or even be #2 but still nice to see it coming together.

I love seeing the depth chart purely to see actual depth and strong depth.
