2lakes
NCAA investigating Manziel potentially profiting from autographs.. When it rains, it pours, Johnny. It used to rain Johnnie every day of the year in Kilmarnock, Scotland; but not anymore. http://www.luxury-insider.com/uploads/features/2011/09/review-johnnie-walker-blue-label-1.jpg
bharker24
I still have a hard time believing the Heisman trust handed him the trophy ...questionable character at best for this kid. Can anyone think of any other heisman falls as character goes... ..besides oj
NDhoosier
This kid wont make it to the NFL, he is pretty arrogant and always seems to be in the news in a bad way. He is going to do something stupid that crosses the line sooner or later.
suhoney24
sad thing is i bet a 10000 bucks he gets away with with it because "they can't find proper evidence"

I laughed when Espn said this would be his last year in college cuz he's now eligible for the draft. He's a smaller Tim Tebow with a slightly better arm. The current "OW" (offensive weapon) experiment going on with Denard in Jacksonville will fail miserably.. And that's how I see Johnny. Excellent college player, but nothing more. BlackIrish42
My son just broke the news to me. Pride and arrogance has a price. I'm absolutely on his side. He should be the profiting off of his autograph. However, the rules, while completely corrupt, are the rules he agreed to, so he'll have to pay the piper. At least until the O'Bannon case tears this bullshit system down...

It's coming, albeit slowly. The NCAA is as fickle as a crack whore in Venice.

He didn't commit a crime, but he did (potentially) break the rules of a system he signed up for...regardless of how stupid that system is. IrishWarrior81
I like how the Yahoo article tries to tie in Te'o just to stir the pot. One of the last lines says that the Facebook account of the autograph broker was pulled down last night but one of the images captured was of him and Te'o a week before the national championship game. chirodomer
I think Manziel will do great in the pros bc they will assign a babysitter to him. The reason why he will be a good pro is that he has a great pocket presence and gets through all of his reads on most plays. Don't believe it? Watch some film of him after the Florida game. If Golson could've made past the 2nd read then ND would've had rings.

If Golson could've made past the 2nd read then ND would've had rings. Golson was one of about 2 or 3 players who did not look like they pooped themselves in the first half. He actually played half-way decent and was a down right stud compared to guys like T'eo and Motta and virtually the entire defensive team! I don't believe better pocket presence from Golson would have helped those guys take better angles to the ball or stop missing tackles like the Bama players were covered in Cisco... Now, could Golson have been a better QB with more experience and talent in his progressions? Absolutely, but to insinuate that alone would have closed the gulf against Alabama is disingenuous at best and just silly at worst. As for Manziel, he is a combination of Ryan Leaf and Brain Bosworth. I don't give a hoot what happens to him or how "awful" all this attention is for him...the guy was born with the petroleum spoon up his rear and will never have to do anything more than having squeezed out of his mother's vagina to have "made it" in this world...poor little rich boy can't keep his nose clean? Then life will kick his butt until he is dead or learns his lessons...
