davislove 0
Worship everything British the way that America does? I mean why do we care about that baby? Sometimes i feel America still sees itself as a british colony. Don't we have more important things to worry about? Like finding that Russian who got away on the Sopranos? sheesh. mudskipper 0
I'm not an Anglophile, we did fight a couple or wars against Britian for our independence, but the royal couple seem like great people. It's the media has just gone overboard on reporting daily for the past 6 weeks on the pregnancy and quite frankly I'm fatigued with it. I fully expect this media frenzy to continue awhile longer and that is perplexing.

davislove 0
Sounds like you guys are making lame excuses like when someone says they buy Playboys for the articles.. it's not just this baby stuff, it was us going on and on about the queens Diamond jubilee, The Royal weddings? I was older then I should have when I learned that Diana was from England. As a kid seeing all of the hype over the wedding, I assumed she was an American and the press was making a fairytale like story of it. I don't find russell brand or rickey gervais funny but then it's my fault because I'm too unsophisticated to understand British humour. Why is it they can come over here and trash our government and we sit back and take but when people from other parts of the world do it we get offended? Too me it's funny to see an American visit England for a few days and return claiming they now have an accent but English people who have lived in the US for decades never get an American accent. Does England treat our aging past their prime athletes like gods the way we do David beckham? I don't know if any of you play or watch golf but those courses they play in the British ( I said british) Open-if those courses were in the US you couldn't pay a pro to play does worn out ugly, poorly laid out tracks. And in the grand scheme of things, kates not all that hot

I was visiting my uncle, who lived outside Toronto, when Princess Dianna died. I saw Canuck's openly weeping. I don't really understand the fascination with their royalty, but then again I don't find the fascination with American celebrity. **** like the Kardashian's and Real Housewives of wherever... I don't get it. When I was in England last year, they had Kardashian **** all over the place, billboards and tabloids and ****. The only thing I like about England is their TV shows, Sherlock, Doctor Who...good stuff. Food? Crap. Beer? Awful. Weather? Dreadful. Women? Hideous. To my knowledge, they do not. I know they remade Married with Children and I watched an episode of Law and Order UK when i was over there
davislove 0
speaking of Canada, there are two Canadian shows That really like Rookie Blue--It's sorta like the early years of Greys Anatomy except with Police. So far it hasn't turned to crap the way GA did. Lost Girl--- I discovered this one on Netflix. I wasn't aware that it aired on cable in the US. Hard to discribed but a very exciting show. So there is something good about Canada other then their Bacon:grin:

TheRizz 5
Side note - I talked to a Canadian on visa in America. He is into socialism and liberal theology. He got really loud and on obnoxious when I told him I'm not a fan of socialism and capitalism is what has made America exceptional. He proceeded to tell me that I should just leave the country if I don't like socialism. I found this ironic since, he wasn't even a citizen. nickman54 0
Someone got loud and obnoxious when talking politics? Surely you're mistaken. I was on vacation in Siesta Key Florida. I was sitting at the pool and had 4 Canadians at the table next to me. I said hello and how are you. I was then attacked by a drunken barrage of stupidity. I mentioned no politics.. I kindly asked them if if I was such a moron why don't you vacation in the frozen north? They left the hotel and got a DUI out front when they hit another car... Classic. By the way go **** yourself moron.
