CDH is no guarantee... but it has a better than average track record. It's going to come down to the character of the kid and family.

Don't know much about Carufel, but he seemed unhappy early in the Weis regime... I'll give him a limited pass because Weis wasn't exactly the best at developing kids, but I recall Carufel went out of his way to bad mouth ND too.

Seantrel hasn't exactly panned out in Miami either..

Just pointing out that seantrel was an Irish "lock" from the time he was a sophomore. I'm not going to hold my breath for Cornell. A lot can happen and it will.

Difficult to get excited about a junior to be.

Heck, difficult to get excited about post HS senior year players.

Echo's right, so much changes even with these supposed "locks".

I just think it's interesting that the #1 junior is from CDH. We'll see how it plays out. Each person is unique and will make their own decision.

seantral was never considered anything close to a lock or even a lean...

I see you joined DD in January of 2008. You must not have hit up the recruiting forum very often that year.

He didn't show interest in SC until 2009. In 2008, we were clearly the frontrunner and most of us on DD thought we could go ahead and pencil him in. Glad I could look this up for you.

I'm sticking with a few others here and saying that this seems like far from a sure thing. In a few of the articles I've read he's even stated that he's not really leaning one way or another, but that Ohio State, Michigan, and USC have been showing the most interest. I have a feeling it's gonna take another big year for this kid to head to South Bend.

He'd be a nice get but like others have stated it's too soon to call. he's the number 1 recruit now but that's not likely to stand. Cierre Woods was the Number 1 player in his class around this time heading into his senior year.

Which I always laughed at. I'm from the same area as Cierre. He was a fine back, but he was overrated due to being in a low division. This area is known for that. Guys like Lorenzo Booker, Whitney Lewis, Ben Olsen, Darrell Scott, etc. All rated highly, but never panned out.

Is it safe to say we are being considered with Jashon? That is good right? Even if he drops in the rankings, I am happy we are being considered.

Me too! Hopefully it stays. Signing day for 2015 is a long way off!

Cornell has been to campus A LOT.

It is what it is- he's a 2015 kid and god knows what will happen. But he's shown more interest in us in a year than Henderson did his entire HS career.

When it comes to "realist" it doesn't get any realer than this.

Good information. Real information.
