Has BK named captains yet? If not, he's got a lot of seniors and fifth years to choose from. So who are the four captains going to be? Does Zack Martin reclaim his position as captain? Will Tommy and Carlo be ineligible for that role with their arrest records?

I want a special teams captain as well. I have always felt that way. Collinsworth gets my vote.

 

BK made some comments in spring practice that Nix is not really the captain type. He was laughing when he said it. Louie is Louie and the players know what he is going to do come game time. Grace is the vocal type who practices like he is getting ready for the game. BK did nention him as an emerging leader.

captains are not alway the most visable to us...

 

I have read it more than once that he is a real locker room leader. It is a major reason why he is a 5th year senior despite hardly ever playing.

Not a large sample size if any at all but does anyone else get a Luke kuechly feel from grace?? Very excited about this guy emerging as a great player/leader for this team

 

We can only hope. Luke definitely had a nose for the ball.

I remember how much of a fit he gave us in 2011, he was like a magnet to the ball. It seemed like he was in on every tackle. The storyline that game was him vs Manti and he really outplayed him.

 

If Grace is anything like Keuchly then I'll be pretty happy.

Yes - but ND plays more assignment football vs BC which opened things up for Luke.

Not Tommy. The past is the past and he has moved on from his mistake but I don't think you should make him a captain.

My guess is Martin and Jones on offense and Nix and Jackson on defense.

Tip his hand? It's Tommy's job already. Malik wont see the field for a while.
