NDhoosier
Well, he is "97% committed to Iowa State." Not sure about the rest of you, but that sounds pretty good to me.
Gatsby
I don't think he flips. We will be good with Brent and Holmes in this class and I would LOVE Johnnie Dixon too.
NDhoosier
we will get Isaiah McKenzie as well at the WR position, surprised he and Holmes havent committed already. Supposedly the staff wants 4 WRs, they would take 5 if a top talent wanted in. Dixon seems to be locked into Miami Mark Andrews Malachi Dupre Michiah Quick ^ Big names, long shots (especially Dupre, really likes LSU), but ND still seems to be in it with all of them. Quick we have a legit shot at though. Edited July 7, 2013 by NDhoosier

Ricochet
not a fan of Holmes at all, just don't see it. As for Lazard he would be a great catch and IMO without a doubt a Top 10 WR in this class and maybe even Top 5.

Big23Head
Agreed with the Justinn Brent comment there Mr. mtl_irish. Everyone needs to see he has proven time and again this last year and summer that he is a high end WR. Why no other offers...and all that well because he is ALL ND and has been from the beginning. You cannot recruit a kid not willing to listen, Justin is ND. Back to topic, Lazard is a very good prospect but his parents will have to be convinced on the visit for him to go anywhere. ND will take 5 WR if the 5th name is a big one.
ndomer4
Is there any film of Lazard other than that one catch? I can't seem to find any. I'm thinking we only need 4 wideouts though at most this year.
The Four Horsemen
I have watched Lazard grow from his freshman year at Urbandale, I started the original post on him, and hoped we would make a run for him. I have personally seen him make 20 catches similar to the one in the video. He also plays safety and breaks up a ton of passes. He is a great all around athlete and is a stud on the Urbandale basketball team. My son attends the same weightlifting sessions with him at Urbandale H.S., and they talk pretty regularly. IMO, he is solid to ISU, but we made a good run while he had his unofficial. If we can get him back for an official, we have a small shot. It is small but at least it is a shot. I talked to him at a baseball game a few weeks ago and this is how I took it, straight from him. ISU, is his dad's alma mater and his brother currently attends ISU. It is close to home, they have a solid fan base that will idolize him if he pans out, they have a good thing going at ISU with Paul Rhoads and all the kids love him. They also just got a commitment from Tommy Mister, who Lazard had a big part in recruiting. The only downfall for ISU is the exposure, they just don't have it. Great campus, newer facilities and a program on the rise. ND, exposure and the big stage! The games on tv, the tradition and all that goes along with it. He was blown away on campus but that seems to be wearing off the longer he is away from it. My guess, he stays with ISU and becomes a local legend. Just my 2cents.
