Yes, absolutely a lot of things to be grateful for. But can you imagine all those weapons with Golson??? I look for Malik to play a substantial role. Clearly Tommy is the starter but by mid season Malik can be very dangerous. Just imagine what we will look like in 2014. Jeeeeezzz!!!!

1). Amir will never play.

2). Our TEs will look embarrassingly inept. No Eifert? No one else has even shown a glimpse of talent.

Agree with the rest.

I would like to disagree with you. I will make a friendly wager with you echo, I say Amir will play on the field this year for Notre Dame. If he does, YOU will have to post a picture of your face in full womens makeup. If he does not play at all, I will do the same. How 'bout it? Want to put mascara where your mouth is?

(btw, I'm a man of my word, ask most here)

:peace: this is gonna be classic. Amir just has to get out on the Field in Regular season play and Speedy wins. I think Speedy just made a great bet. But if Echo is right, help us all for the next five years!

Echo so I can't believe you don't think Niklas has potential? Is it based on that Stanford game? You are a smart guy, please explain?

Niklas is a nice player, a beast, but a bit of meat head. I hope that Koyack and Welch finally produce and help stretch the field; especially in third down situations. I see Niklas developing his blocking skills this year and being the road grater for the run game and a possession guy in third and short situations.

Of course he has potential. A lot of our guys do. Just haven't seen enough production out of him to feel comfortable with our TEs...

While I agree they lack the obvious production numbers however, when you have a player like Efiert it is hard. At least they have on field experience and loads of practice time. I think all 4 bring a nice combination.

Also if you think about going into the 2011 season...Rudolph leaves and who takes over, Efiert with 12 games played and little production. Efiert did have more production than the current guys I guess. The other TEs on the roster at the time were Welch (fr), Ragone, Golic and Burger. I like our guys now much much better. Basically saying we will always lack production numbers when behind a guy liek Efiert or Rudolph or Floyd. Hopefully the next great one is on the roster.

I'm not sure having all of these receiving options will matter unless Tommy can learn to check down to his second/third receiver, which he hasn't proven he can do yet. We don't have an Eifert or Floyd that he can stare down the entire time and still make good things happen.

Very true. I actually remember thinking we would have a significant dropoff in production when Floyd left at WR. Wasnt as bad as I thought it would be....

....and throw lob balls too. This is the book on TR. Defenses are going to come at him up the middle intially and make TR hurry and throw off his back foot. Our Oline got the wake up call when EG got suspended. They will have theit hands full this year. I would bet that Chuck put awayu away the EG playbook and brought out the TR playbook. Lots of quick slants, screens and sideline shoulder throws.

I also disagree. We will have a very good team top to bottom including the TE position.

Like it or not, the QB is the weak link. All of the QB runs and deep passes will removed from the playbook but Kelly will have a run game in place.

Amir could be the key either as a RB or slot receiver. I expect some big receivers in the slot.
