gmac89 0
Why do we want him if he's not mobile?
corysold 0
He must be mobile enough if Urban Meyer also wants him.
IanY77 4
He must be mobile enough if Urban Meyer also wants him. Good point. Still, if you look at his offer list, they really do focus more on pro-style offences. tOSU and ND are the closest thing to spread teams, and after last year, I'd be hard pressed to call ND's offence a spread. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for him to commit, and I'm sure Kelly and Martin know what kind of runner he is, but no one's going to mistake him for Mariota/Miller/GA3 Jr.

So does UCLA. Even Ok St runs spread, just not as focused on QB run.
Domers23 61
Kelly's system does not require a running quarterback. An accurate passer with a good arm is needed first and foremost, so the playmakers can do their thing. Don't get me wrong a guy with legs like Golson's give it another dimension but not required for it to succeed.
Ricochet 0
9 out 10 QB's that are runners just aren't good passers. QBs need to be able to pass first and foremost, accuracy, touch and then arm strength. That's all thats needed to be great because being smart and knowing how to move within the pocket works better than scrambling just look at most if the greats. That said Allen isn't a stiff but he's not out and out runner and will never be mistaken as a dual threat QB. But they say he can hold his own and if it's there he can take it but he's going to be a guy that's going to stay in the pocket and sling it around. ndomer4 532
Any questions on the guy can be answered here [ame] [/ame] He's not Malik Zaire speedwise but he has plenty of mobility to move around the pocket and move the chains when needed. Impressive film.

mat33 0
Sign the receiver wearing number 81. Impressive. That's Mark Andrews, one of the top WRs on their board.
NDhoosier 1,339
ya, I dont know where you guys are getting this notion that Kyle Allen has no mobility. the first two plays of the video show than he can move if need be. Sometimes, the best scramblers are the ones that teams dont plan for and run only when they are out of options. Rees is scared to run, Kyle Allen is not afraid to move if under pressure. smaster 5
Kelly has said it repeatedly: all he wants from a QB's feet is escapability. He doesn't need Tony Rice. Looks like Allen can check that one off.
Ricochet 0
ND is about to miss out om Allen, he's now deciding at 4PM EST Today, as in the next 5 minutes and it look like the 247 spots recruitniks are now mostly predicting a commit to TAMU. NDFan2373 0
Damn, he is an Aggie... and they all conveniently changed their predictions to TAMU today... to make it seem like they knew what they were talking about.

BrianKellyWasNotTheMan 12
Well I'm kinda glad we didn't get him if his 40 speed is slow as rivals says it is. But still disapointing when he was supposed to visit next week so Texas AM persuaded him somehow really quick which is a little suspect.
