hawaiiirish 62
Here are most of the many variable possiblities--- Pick either the one you think is best & or the one you think will happen--- All winnings must be reported to the IRS A-)---Rees lead QB--Hendrix back-up -Zaire redshirt--odds--3-5 B-)--Hendrix lead QB--Rees back up - Zaire redshirt--odds---4-1 C-)--Zaire lead QB--Rees back up-------------------odds--11-1 D-)--Rees & Hendrix rotation---Zaire redshirt---------odds--7-1 E-)--Rees & Zaire rotation----Hendrix back up-------odds---9-1 F-)--REES/Hendrix/ Zaire rotation--------------------odds--12-1 G-)-- Rees lead QB--Zaire back up-------------------odds--10-1 H-)--Hendrix lead QB---Zaire back-up--Rees #3------odds--19-1 I-)--Hendrix & Zaire rotation------Rees back up-----odds----22-1 All rotations assume 15-20 % of snaps not single series gimmeks--- I have made my view clear---- IMHO --Knowing Kelly--my money is on the favorite A--- Unfortunately i see that as an 8-5 scenario as i have said---so if i was choosing --my best bet for winning ten thats 10 games and putting back some unpredictability and playmaking into the QB position--- I WOULD CHOOSE----F---Utilize all three--& still have running capability--unpredictability for defenses --and two guys with arms able to go deep! What's your pick for the BEST?---Whats your pick for most likely? aloha's go irish!
TheGipperSB 0
To begin the year I would have to assume the the first option would be the most likely, hard to predict how it will be after 4/5 games. But Rees starting is the safest bet. My best would be the Rees & Zaire rotation with the snap share being 70-30 in favor of Rees.
ColinKSU 18
I guarantee you it'll all work out. The staff will figure out a way to make it work, and I bet Tommy will be perfectly competent at the position. If I'm wrong and it doesn't work out? It's not like we can do anything about it anyway. Just enjoy life and I'll see you in 2014.
SpeedsterX 751
Ok, I'll play. G Rees starts and slowly brings MZ along with live action. MZ was tailor made for this offense and the ONLY one that could give Golson a run for his money for when he returns in 2014 and that's not a guarantee so we need him to be up and running by 2014. We'll get more QB's in the next recruiting classes. MZ needs to be ready NOW. Rees is gone next year and Hendrix could want to focus on ONLY his med classes next year! Imagine this, Golson won't or cannot come back. Hendy does not have time for football due to MEDICAL SCHOOL. Rees is out of eligibility. WHAT NOW!!?? With Gunner gone and with Golson gone this year, it's MZ's time!
Donjuan 16
MZ has got to see time this season for the reasons Speedy pointed out above...

Irish_Thunder 197
Head says Rees, heart wants Zaire. I think if you gave Zaire 40-50% of the snaps, he would easily beat out Golson next year. Kid just has a head on his shoulders, from what I heard about the rate the he picked up the offense, very impressive. Not to mention he is already stronger/bigger than Golson. In the end I'm sure Rees/Hendrix will play it out, but I want Zaire to play some. Want Choice: C Realistic choice: A
irishrush 60
I think it will be E with a 70/30 split towards Rees. We need to keep the defenses guessing or next year won't be any different than 2011, although I do think our line will protect better. I would take our offensive production in 2011 every day of the week with Tommy Rees this year sans our turnover problems.. You take turnovers out of the equation in 2011 and we are easily 11-1 or perhaps 12-0 depending on the dynamic of the USC game when it got "snug". We need to keep the defenses guessing or next year won't be any different than 2011, although I do think our line will protect better. If you have two or three QBs that each have a different set of plays to run, does that really keep the other defenses guessing? In my mind, if each QB is somewhat one dimensional, then you simply have different games plans for each QB. I can see that it might cause teams to be less efficient when game planning since there would be more material to cover in practices before playing ND but I am not sure if it would truly keep them "guessing". jarious 0
None of the above Unless I missed it, seems like one obvious solution is Rees at starter, Hendrix as backup, but no redshirt for MZ. Perhaps Hawaii is thinking there is no way MZ plays and doesn't beat out Hendrix. But I will take this option over musical chairs. Here's a question. Does Massa go back to QB to potentially protect MZs redshirt?
ndomer4 532
I think B makes our offense as good as it can be, however I'm sure kelly will go with A.

Does Massa go back to QB to potentially protect MZs redshirt? If Rees or Henrix get injured I think so forsure. I'm all in for keeping Zaire's redshirt unless we have to burn it. Cause if Golson comes back he will be the starter. We don't need Massa at receiver seeing as he won't play, so it's in the teams best interest to put him at qb. Plus he can't be that bad he was 3 stars, Wisconsin and Cinci aren't terrible offers either.
BlueConzelloGold 0
Option F! Seems most likely to me due to the fact that Rees may struggle against fast defenses, which Hendrix may come in for a play or two but won't make a big enough impact... By mid season I see Zaire splitting time with the other two... I'd say: Reese 80% Hendrix 10% and Zaire 10% (Barring injury)
AlabamaDuck 0
C - Zaire will win the starting job in the Fall. His back-up will be Rees. He will have a crash course on the playbook this Summer.
