KellyisNasty 0
This is kind of a joke thread, but feel free to vent or be crazy. Golson's maturity- Look it's great and all he's more comfortable talking to reporters now. But these past two seasons we seem to get an update every two weeks on his maturity level from either a media source or someone gushing on a forum. I have to be honest, I really don't care. I just want him to be good and don't care if he's a jokster, a wallflower, or Tebowesque. Just put some points on the field. Next week we open up the offense - It's been three years and the playbook is about as long as half a menu at Denny's. Just open it up already. SEC are a bunch of dirty cheaters who have a bunch of illiterate players who need their fingers and toes to count to 10 - No wait, I never get tired of hearing that. davislove 0
What gets me is how EVERY recruit who commits to us is a "Stud". And they know this by looking at a short video with handpicked plays on it.

Or how about the inverse when a recruit someone on the board formerly loved decided to commit to another program? - "We dodged a bullet on that guy"

Similarly how every ND guy is a "rkg" until they decide to transfer (Kiel), make jokes in an interview (cierre), body language isn't upto snuff (crist, rudolph while injured and laughing during a game), etc.
davislove 0
I'm also a little tired of hearing about our "slot" position. It's probably been our least productive spot yet it's treated like we have a dominate player there every year.
ndomer4 532
Since Kelly has been here the whole opening up the playbook is getting pretty old. Either do it or don't, no point in talking about it so often when it hasn't been done yet.
hawaiiirish 62
I like & use most every cliche involving the irish--at least those generated by the fans for positive purposes including puffery-- There are some cliche's i grow very weary of-- #1--Johnny "FOOTBALL"---zzzzzzzzzzz #2---ND schedule is weaker then it looks---ZZZZZZZZ #3--from Mark May---"ND players are always overrated in the pre-draft hype"---FU #4--ND teams are slow---ZZZZZZZZZZ ETC ETC ETC aloha's
Rocketsan 877
body language isn't upto snuff (crist, rudolph while injured and laughing during a game), etc. You left out indifferent attitude at pep rallies...
LionEyes 0
I really like Mayock but some of his cliches get old... like: "He's quicker than fast". "Where's Waldo"? "He's a fast twitch athlete". (Which if he knew anything about human physiology he would know that every player on the field is a fast twitch athlete).

SpeedsterX 751
"Where's Waldo"? This one drives me nuts! When people say "We" when referring to the team. I must admit, I do this ALL the time. I kinda DO feel a part of the team though!
ndomer4 532
This one drives me nuts! I must admit, I do this ALL the time. I kinda DO feel a part of the team though! I think alot of fans say we as if they're part of the team. I don't have a problem with it as I do it alot but my dad hates it. He goes who is this we you talk about, your not on the team. Regardless I'm gonna keep using it, it's just easier.
Pregame 291
When people say "We" when referring to the team. I try not to do that for pro sports teams but I did goto ND so I feel like using "we" is ok for ND. On the other hand, it doesn't bother me too much but I can see where it can be annoying. NDrunner04 3
I hate when ND haters make these cliché statements: "Notre Dame is afraid to join a conference" "Notre Dame's schedule is so weak...they play all the academies every year" "Notre Dame is overrated"
MyFightingIrish 0
"Notre Dame is afraid to join a conference" This one drives me a crazy too. I live in Grand Rapids, MI and the local radio douche LOVES to say this one anytime ND is mentioned. It just show's how uneducated these people really are. I SMH every time. http://media.247sports.com/Uploads/Assets/616/803/803616.gif

dsnack34 0
When people say "We" when referring to the team. I said we all the time until everyone starting looking at me weird and asking, "we?" It made me sound a little crazy but in my head I still say we, and just change it when I say it. I might me crazy but that is only in my head and I don't say it out loud...lol.... piratey 6
When people refer to a kid as "A gamer" or "A grinder" or anything else to talk up an untalented scrub. Hate it.
