Rockets Revenge
College Football HOF inductees were anounced today and Rocket was snubbed again. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/9250529/vinny-testaverde-danny-wuerffel-ron-dayne-lead-college-football-hall-fame-class How is the most exciting CFB player EVER not in the HOF??? I submit this evidence to you... [ame= ] [/ame]
OKCIrish99
That is not right, no doubt. Simply inexplicable. This isn't even known by a lot of people. It took forever for Art Monk to get in professionally. Sounds like it may for Rocket also.
gipper2nd
I have almost forgotten how good & how fast he really was! I remember when Coach Holtz didn't play him on every down because I think he was worried about his size. Tell me again why Desmond Howard replaced him on ESPN! The guy was an absolute game changer. Will we every have another receiver like him ever again? In 25 yrs. I don't think we've come close yet.
nd1baby
Sir, it is an outrage!
NDsection23
What a crock of crap! Despite my ND bias, Rocket was way more impactful many of the guys who got in this year.
VCDomer
It is a crime that this guy is not in already. He was one of the most talented players I have seen in college football. He was snubbed for the Heisman as well.

edcubby
The kid should be in... But is it possible that he is semi-blackballed because he left early? And he left early in an era when it was still kind of frown upon? I'm just asking... Now it was widely speculated that he would go bit it was no where near today's pressure... ND FANATIC
I read somewhere that the Hall doesn't like to induct players from the same school 2 years in a row, they believe that is seems more "fair" and balanced to not continually put in players from the same programs year after year....FWIW Casper went in last year, so ND had to take this year off, there will be a ND player next year.. Donjuan
Here's my question. How in the world did Ron Dayne make the HOF before Raghib Ismael? What kind of sick world do we live in where the fastest most dynamic player of his time has to wait longer than a RB who had more than 30 touches a game throughout his career?? Now Ron Dayne is hall worthy. But before the Rocket??

The problem is that lets, say since 1990, there have been 10 players for ND that could be in the CFHOF, in that same time period there may have been 3 from UW....its going to take alot longer to get the 10 in than the 3, so the 10 get back-logged relative to the 3 and go into Hall "out of order" per se..... Sorry DJ, that's the best I got...

Might this be a new rule? I know in the past USC had guys go in in sequential years...

ColinKSU
Might this be a new rule? I know in the past USC had guys go in in sequential years... It's believed to be part of the reason why Tommie Frazier had to wait until this year.
Rocketsan
It's believed to be part of the reason why Tommie Frazier had to wait until this year. As an aside, I was once walking down the street one night in Montreal back when I was in school. Saw a black dude rocking a Nebraska football jacket - not something you see everyday in Montreal (the jacket, not black people). Didn't think anything of it until I saw him duck into a local high end apartment/condo rental building. Wasn't a CFL follower so didn't put two and two together until I looked up their roster and there was Tommie...
ND FANATIC
Might this be a new rule? I know in the past USC had guys go in in sequential years... Its not a rule, per se...more of an unwritten guideline...Honestly, if they didn't do this, the power programs from the power conferences would fill every CFHOF class...
