Insane story. I still can't believe Al Golden let a talent walk out of Miami.

FSU sure has some bigtime defections sometimes. Probably just coincidental. Sounds like he pledged FSU for the wrong reasons though.

Personally I don't think he ever wanted to go there. His mom wouldn't let him go to USC and not FSU could regulate where he goes. Will be interesting to watch.

I didn't follow his recruitment at all because ND had no shot and he isn't freakish enough to maintain my general interest (e.g., Clowney, DGB).

If his mother wouldn't let him go to USC, then I take my previous comment that could be seen as implying she is a selfish person. :-P

Well he's pretty much Jaylon Smith South, hopefully FSU keeps him.

The only reason anyone should care is if USC nabs him.

Maybe he'll actually decide for himself now. Kid is a good example of you can't live your life to make others happy, even family. Anyway, he is highly rated. Lynch left FSU due to Fisher continue to recruit more defensive end. Sometimes, I wonder about Fisher's recruiting tactics things I've heard. I hope we destroy them in 2014. We were an Everett Golson away from beating them in the bowl game a couple years ago.

Perhaps Im numb to the effects that recruiting tactics have on players, but this is only news if he lands with a team that we play. The fact that he's considering that dumpster fire USC speaks volumes about this guy....

That being said, he will go with UGA so it's a moot point....

Well UGA was never a real option in the first place. It was SC vs FSU- he even cancelled his trip to Athens. So yeah, it's a development of interest.

Richt has UGA going in the right direction. They darn near knocked off Bama last year and fared extraordinarily better than we did against them. It's not completely farfetched that Notre Dame could play them in the title game in the few years, although I get your point.

Kiffin would minimize/destroy his talent anyway, so I feel it's a pretty moot point if he ends up at USC anyway. Even Monte was smart to see what was up at USC and left the sinking Kiffin ship.

Perhaps I'm not really concerned with potential title game opponents because I really don't think we will be there again anytime soon. Maybe we could see them in the playoffs?

Shocking... echo doesn't think we can win. Same prediction as last year? 8-5?

Anyway, I just hope he doesn't end up at USC. That is all I want out of this.

Wasnt it 7-6? Lol

Hehe 8-4 to be precise. I was far from alone. :)

I just meant that we still had a ways to go before going to the title game back to back anytime soon. Hopefully the lucky bounces we had in a couple of those games continues. We were certainly due.

All joy for the season we had last year aside, I threw out my rose prim glasses. We need to shore up some positions with depth and talent before we will be a legitiamate contender for a playoff spot yearly and/or a shot at the NCG. We had many fortunate bounces last year as echo said. But can we really expect the same this year? and do we want to?
