Let the insults begin

Excellent. Prister was super high on Bars. Higher than Nelson even. Certainly not questioning the source. ;-)

I will not challenge the wisdom of Da Coach

If true that is two really, really good O-line hauls in consecutive years. Impressive.

Great offensive linemen bring great running backs. Now how about a five star receiver.

And we still have a legit shot at Braden Smith.

I actually believe you will be correct that Bars is next, but it won't be to sign. That can't happen until February. But he will be the next to verbal.

Irish Eyes is saying Bars is about ready to commit. It just doesn't say to whom.

Think this is the next guy to jump aboard as well, followed by WR Corey Holmes out of St. Thomas Aquinas in Ft. Lauderdale.

^Agreed^

I like where Luatua and Andrews are at right now too personally.

Stop! I can't have a semi at work!

9 recruits by May and more to come? Amazing.

I thought Alex Bars was the next to verbal any news or decision date?

Right now I would say Corey Holmes is the better/sooner chance. I think ND is still in it with Bars but Michigan is up there too. Decision really could happen anytime. If he visits again I think ND will get him.

I agree, we haven't had a Michael Floyd type receiver since well Michael Floyd.

I'm still with Coach on this one- I think Bars is Irish next.

Holmes sounds like he still wants to take some visits. Bars is pretty much down to UM and ND.

Hope he "chickens out" of the Michigan thing.

I keep hearing this. You guys do realize we have played only one season without Floyd right? It is not like Floyd was forever ago and we have been deprived of WRs for a decade. Second Floyd type receivers are rare, he was a special WR in Notre Dame's long history. The chances of getting another Floyd player is small.

Besides, I am perfectly fine with a good group of WRs instead if one elite WR and no one else, so the QB focuses solely on the one. I still don't understand why some are doubting TJ Jones and DD. Both are reliable and DD has shown plenty of skill. If you want to look at numbers, maybe you should first look at the fact that they had a redshirt freshman QB throwing to them. Golson's weakness was reading defenses last year, don't put all that blame on the WRs and say we have a weak WR corps.

So the board Contrarian and IU fan does understand reality....

It's hard to root for both IU and ND, but it is entirely possible to have multiple elite WRs.

Remember that kid that wore #23 and played with MF for a couple years?
