Marcus Freeman is undeniably building something special at Notre Dame!
Marcus Freeman is undeniably building something special at Notre Dame, turning the program into a competitive powerhouse. After taking over the coaching reins with high expectations, Freeman's leadership has shown significant growth, and the Irish have responded with tremendous success. His mantra of "one play, one life" and "reload" encapsulates the relentless, process-oriented mentality he instills in his team. The current 10-game winning streak speaks volumes about his ability to create a str

Why should OSU fear us?
Because we have nothing to lose. We are supposed to lose. That’s what makes the Irish dangerous. They need to play like that too. Play loose! Take chances! Fight hard in controlled chaos! We definitely CAN win this! GO IRISH!

Notre Dame roster - good, not great
Soko ·As per Urban Meyer. And I agree with him. He points to superior coaching as being the X factor for this run and that only means the arrow is pointing upwards. There are only 3 players on listed as a top 10 draftable prospect here and one has been injured since October. I think this team program has a lot more growth left in it if they can keep this coaching team together. Plus there is a shed load of talent coming back. Some of the true freshman like Moore and Knapp have been incredible. Both 3
Acho aiming for Irish offer
By Pete Sampson, IrishIllustrated.com Editor
Patience may be a virtue Notre Dame needs from Sam Acho.
The 6-foot-2, 250-pound defensive end from Dallas, Texas has exploded onto the recruiting circuit in recent weeks, going from a little-known prospect from St. Mark's to a national name coveted by Southern California, Texas, Stanford, Iowa and Nebraska. Acho believes Notre Dame could be close to pulling the trigger on a scholarship offer as well, and sooner may be better for the Irish considering the defender is toying with the idea of making a commitment before the start of his senior season.
"I don't want to rush anything, but I just want to get it somewhat out of the way before I get deep into the season," Acho said. "I really like Notre Dame. I should talk to them pretty soon to see where I stand. It's a great football program and they'd definitely be up on my list."
Acho visited Texas last week, a trip that included him walking away with a scholarship offer. The Longhorns have been able to pick and choose prospects from their backyard this year, and virtually any in-state recruit offered by Mack Brown has found his way to Austin in short order.
That means Notre Dame could end up in a similar position with Acho as the Irish did with Tray Allen, John Chiles and Andre Jones, three other Texan prospects that made verbal commitments to the Longhorns. An offer from Notre Dame however, might just give Acho pause enough to evaluate a few options away from home.
"I really like Notre Dame," Acho said. "I just recently got in contact with one of the coaches. I think they're in the process of looking at my highlight tape. I should talk to them pretty soon to see where I stand. It's a great football program. They'd definitely be up on my list."
Acho isn't locked into a list of leaders but put Notre Dame in his top five alongside Texas, USC, Virginia and Stanford. Acho has already visited the Cavaliers along with the Longhorns. He had planned to visit Stanford this summer but couldn't schedule the trip.
"Those are some of the schools that I'm seriously considering," Acho said. "I really enjoyed my time at Texas, and Texas is definitely one of the schools that I like. They said I could take as long as I needed because they kind of found out about me later than most schools. They said I could take as long as I needed to make a decision."
While Acho wouldn't mind wrapping up his recruitment before the season kicks off, he's open to the prospect of taking official visits during the year. The future business major said Notre Dame would likely get an official visit if the Irish offered.
As intriguing as Acho's recruitment could be, so too will be where on the field the defender uses his skills. He said he could play as a traditional defensive end in a 4-3 alignment or double as an outside linebacker if he's working in a 3-4. Acho said some schools are even recruiting him as a tight end, but he believes his future is on defense.
"It all depends on what style of defense I'm playing in," Acho said.
As for what defense Acho chooses, the Irish are hoping for a delay in that decision.
