Posted August 10, 200618 yr And we're not one of them. Well, all of you who have him on your forecasted ND recruiting class of 2007 can take him off now. http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=109&p=2&c=555363&ssf=1&RequestedURL=http%3a%2f%2fstory.scout.com%2fa.z%3fs%3d109%26p%3d2%26c%3d555363
August 10, 200618 yr it will be arkansas, i figured it would come down to us and arkansas, but it doesnt matter it was always going to be arkansas
August 10, 200618 yr It could also mean that his offer got pulled because we have already filled up our OT position.
August 10, 200618 yr who would you think it was filled with? Romine and Nuss? Nuss i think is more of a guard but he could be a right tackle
August 10, 200618 yr I looks like we struck out on Ziemba too. IMO, it was gonna be hard to pull him out of the South anyway. If we get Miller and Romine, I would be happy along with Summers-Gavin. I would not be surprised if a Chris Little or someone off our radar at present shows up in earnest about mid-season...
August 10, 200618 yr I did not read this Scout article but in the Rivals article they said he was down to 2 but never listed the 2nd one. They referenced Auburn because he just went there and his QB has them in his top 2 but the Rivals article never said the second school. The Auburn in the Rivals article was trying to imply that it was Auburn but Ziemba never said who the second school was. Maybe the Scout one does, not sure.
August 10, 200618 yr He said, "I think everyone knows it's between Arkansas and Auburn..." He then goes on about flip flopping who is the favorite between the two.... Agreed, Romine and Miller would really make me forget him. If we get Romine, Miller, Emeka and Summers-Gavin, then I will forget his name.
August 10, 200618 yr Ya definitely need to land SG, Romine, and Miller. I would also really like to get Chris Little.
August 10, 200618 yr Is it just me or has landing the Number 1 OL Class last year hurt our chances with some of the top OL prospects in this current recruiting class?
August 10, 200618 yr Ogelsby and wilson really are what hurt because the staff felt very comfortable with both of them and things changed quickly with both im not so sure the Ogeslby thing is 100% over but i would say its a very slim chance he opens up Romine is going to be a big time tackle and will be irish Nuss is very versatile and IMO would make for a good right tackle or a big time guard SG is looking more and more irish, lets hope SC doesnt jump in, he could play any interior spot Miller sounds like he is all but verbed to the buffs, but he was blown away on his unofficial to ND and maybe an official changes things emeka is still out there and i think we have a very good chance with him chris little is still out there also, not in as good of position as with emeka but definitely got a shot especially with a big season on the brink and an official coming matt bush and chris shannon are two names you may hear in the future if we miss on any of the guys above, both are under the radar but could be nice prospects
August 10, 200618 yr Thanks TD. Good stuff. Isn't there also some speculation that Trinton Sturdivant who has already committed to some SEC team (Georgia?) making an official for the Michigan game? That is good news about Oglesby. I've always wondered whether we would get back in the race with him.... Even if its a slim margin, it's a start. If we could get him here for an official, that changes things... Wisconsin apparently is pulling in a good class though on top of Oglesby. That won't help...
August 11, 200618 yr Arkansas and Auburn? Say it ain't so! http://www.pasttimesports.biz/history/pics/ND_2.jpg
