I am hoping for the perfect season - 13-0, but i think we will be 12-1

I think we've got a great shot at going undefeated into a BCS championship. I can't see PSU being ready to play our team by game 2, I would be very surprised if we weren't ready for the Gtech game considering it's the only thing the team is worrying about now, losing to Michigan is simply not an option with all of the recruits that we have coming to the game, and after that it is clear sailing into the USC game aside from a couple rivalry games with MSU and Purdue. But again, I just can't see us having a let down to either one of those teams. Finally, I think the USC game this year will be much like the game last year and BQ will not be denied his return trip to the Fiesta Bowl.

No, I think we are going to win a bowl game this year. I just have this bad feeling about the early part of NDs season, and USC.

That I will use my 1,000th post on.......a January BCS Bowl Win (prefereably on 1/7/07) gentlemen!

11-2, i think our defense will cost us at least one game this year.

11-1 or 10-2. Michigan and USC are the only ones that scare me. I think we beat USC but lose to scum.

I think Georgia Tech and Michigan are two early games that scare me most. Some of the "mid" season games that scare me are Michigan State and Stanford.

 

Even if we lose every game, I think we smack USC this year. We will be sky high for that game.

 

Here is why the above-referenced games bother me:

 

Ga. Tech

 

Here is a team that beat Auburn and Miami last year. Both away. They are one of about 3 or 4 teams that have been to a bowl in the last nine straight years. They have beaten a top25 team the last 11 years. Tech has a great defensive coordinator who brings it all the time. Every loss last year had one thing in common, they all had great pressure on BQ. Finally, they have changed their offense. No one has seen it yet and last time I checked we have terrible issues with elusive QBs (Troy Smith, Drew Stanton). Reggie Ball was voted the most elusive scrambler in the nation by one preseason publication.

 

Michigan

 

Those sophmores are now Juniors. Henne is good. Hart is due because of the injury last year. We've owned them of late, but this scares me the most. They have new offensive and defensive coordinators, so that will be tough to scout. Also they have a Ginn type in Breaston who has been injured. Also, they are very good up front. Finally, we were very lucky last year with the fumble on the goal line. That game could have gone either way IMO. This Michigan team lost 5 games last year. I think all were by a touchdown or less. They are very good. Luck was not on their side last year. It cannot always be that way.

 

The good is that we were not hitting on all cylinders either by that game either. The team that played Michigan earlier in the year was not the same team that played against Stanford.

 

Michigan State

 

When was the last time we beat them? Aren't we about 1-5 with them over the past 6 years. Stanton can kill you in many ways. For some reason, they've had our number recently. The good thing is we always play well up there for whatever reason

 

Like most, they really get up for us. They went way South the week after beating us.

 

I cannot stand MSU. I really think they attract a ton of renegades and John L. Smith is overrated.

 

We will be up for this game.

 

Stanford

 

We almost lost this one last year. They have a great QB in Trent Edwards. Kiper said he could go in the first round. Good offense, but a terrible defense that will we worse this year. They can throw it around, but it will probably not be enough.

 

 

Listen, I want to win the NC worse than any of you. I just think we have a VERY difficult schedule this year.

 

I think we will lose 2 games in the regular season (not to USC), but we finally win a BCS game.

michigan's ability to suck has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with there joke of a coach...no way do we lose that game

We will beat MSU by 30 this year. Once again, you heard it here first! I think that game is as big as any to CW.
