Following a lot of the Brian Kelly sentiment, no wonder Cierre sucked it up against Alabama. His mind was only focused on going to the NFL.

I think he had JG Syndrome

Seeing KLM go down couldn't have helped

Great decision---jonas grey i don't want to see happen again in the last couple games--

Cierre is good size--EXCELLENT SPEED--he will run very fast in the combine--he is very healthy, very fresh legs---can turn the corner--picks up the blitz well --he's been very well coached---

I think most on this site UNDERESTIMATE his talent---i expect late third round early 4 is just about right---and i expect good success for him in the league---

good luck cierre---

Wouldn't the focus on going to the NFL only make him want to do better on a national stage like BCS Championship game?

I don't think any RB could have done well against BAMA given that ND's O-Line failed to block anyone.

Maybe Cierre didn't want to play for BK?

I dont really like speculating on stuff like that because the only guy that really knows that is Cierre Wood but I just wasnt that impressed with Cierre to be totally honest. I think he has average speed at the next level and he tends to go down fairly easily.

I look at a guy like Eddie Lacy who initially received a 2nd-3rd round projection. Granted his stock has gone up since he was graded but if he was viewed at a 3rd round talent, there is no way Cierre is at that same level.

I honestly just don't think he's tough enough to make it in the NFL, but he made the right decision. He's already going to have his degree and he has a daughter to support.

Good luck to him. Hope he proves me wrong.

All the best to him, hoping he makes it.

What is your source? You can't just post to an ESPN article with no source named. If you don't want to publicly name your source in this open forum you can pm notredameroom. He is the vetter of all sources!!

;)

Squash it bro, geesh. LOL. is it even your battle?

Anyways..

I can't say I blame him.. he was outcast by the coaching staff a bit this year.. deservedly so and now he has to do what's best for his family. 3rd round money isn't chump change. He could easily pay for

Maybe Cierre didn't want to play for BK?

IMHO... that is part of the decsion to go pro. And I believe the feeling was mutual.

Glad we don't have to see that stupid mouthpiece anymore...

And just to clarify for all the sensitive Sallys on the board, I mean his mouthpiece, not him as a person...

I am curious to know how else people could have taken the original statement... :suspicious:

I think BK used the fact that he was able to coach up HSmith into a1st rounder as incentive to have any "straggler" buy into his plan/program

I think of Nix, maybe Ishaq, and definitely Cierre, The latter did not buy in 100% and was jumped by Theo, to us fans' initial surprise

Follow me and you'll get drafted high, cross me and you'll sit, so to speak

A low draft for Cierre will add to coach's notoriety within the ranks i believe

Good thing for the program, IMO, get rid of the final seeds of entitlement

I'm also glad he goes for the fact that it likely entices the RB commits to come seeing as there's one less pony in the parade...

With everyone begin so hypersensitive lately, writing Glad we don't have to see that stupid mouthpiece anymore...could be construed as speaking negatively.
