Wow! AA is just completely off the wall...but thanks for shoring up our class I guess...

β€œIf any recruits are second-guessing their commitments because of last night than they're committed for the wrong reasons,” tight end commit Mike Heuerman said.

Β

"I think the ones that don’t stick only show their true colors of non-commitment to the program and that’s better for us,” quarterback commit Malik Zaire added. β€œThe journey has only begun and it starts with our 2013 class. The sky’s the limit and we want to finish the job as the mob.”

Β

Love those two quotes. This class is just awesome with or without AA. Tons of kids with great insight. Wish I could say the same for most of our fanbase.

Dude's a liar.

Β

All you need to know about him as a person is the comments he made about sticking while secretly changing his mind (and the very real reaction of the ND verbals and his "friends"), the decision he ultimately made and the timing of doing it during a dark period while saying he's been "advised not to comment further" on his decision.

Β

There's a difference between flipping your commitment because plenty of people do that (for and away from Notre Dame), and not handling your business on the up-and-up like a man. You don't need to lie over and over to the media and your fellow verbals β€” just make the switch like a man.

It certainly seems that the staff was prepared for this with the number of LB's that they have been pursuing.

Β

Hopefully there is still a staff in place to finish the class out.

Two words. Gunner Kiel

Β

my thought exactly...but no one here was complaining about him last year!

At least it wasn't on signing day, we can get an OLB signed and move Doug to the inside. We will be fine. Coach just needs to get back, get his raise, and get back to work.

I agree... Sorta

Β

Gunner went there (LSU) , and saw something he didn't like

Β

You could argue the same for AA, whether it be BK or the game, but i for one feel this indeed had been in the works for a while

Β

It's all part of the game though, still classier than Greenberry here

I don't understand the Greenberry move still, I wonder if there was not something academic or another issue that preempted that. Same with Tee, don't understand, but it is over.

IRT Anzalone: We saw this coming. His dad is UF, etc etc etc... The good thing about this is that this has galvanized the recruiting class. After the BCS beatdown there were some questions, this gave them all the opportunity to come out and affirm their decision and to see that the other guys were still solid. AA is doing more for this class by leaving then he could by staying. Good luck to him at UF.

Never trust a guy named Sal, never met one yet that wasn't shady as heck.

Guys names Salvatore are usually Italian... Just saying.

Great to hear the other commits in addition to the ee's are on board

I'm not to familiar with the Gunner situation but it seemed as though Gunner was never clearly happy with his decison with IU or LSU. You can say that about AA BUT AA came back and reaffirmed that he truly did enjoy the ND atmosphere and campus. Maybe dad forced his hand, I don't know. What I do know is this recruit bugs me more than any other. More than Chris Martin, Deontay Greenbury, or Greg Little. And I'm not even that high on AA. Again, good luck to this kid at Florida, i'm happy with this class if we get more or not.

I really can't blame him for switching to UF. The head coach of the program he is set to enroll in in 12 hours "interviews" for another job and is nowhere to be found over the next day. Maybe he was looking for any excuse to go to UF, but Kelly pulling this stunt couldn't have made leaving more difficult.

Relatively true but Muschamp also interviewed with the Bears a few days ago too. Would make more sense if we had switched somewhere without an interviewing coach.

When did muschamp interview w/ the bears, they've interviewed about a dozen or more candidates, so I'm not doubting it just confused as they have targeted offensive guys and two special teams coaches, with most reporters pointing to the absence of defensive coaches in the process
