Who would you rather have as the head football coach at Notre Dame for the next 5 years? It's pretty apparent we can't have all three remain on the staff:

*Brian Kelly

*Bob Diaco

*Chuck Martin

Or, is there someone else out there who could move this thing forward if BK leaves (please, no Gruden mentions)?

Brian Kelly because he is our current head coach who got us where we are today and will still be the head coach for a good while longer. The sky isn't falling.

Brian Kelly, of course. But if he leaves, isn't Diaco's title already 'Assistant Head Coach'? I don't know enough about Diaco or Martin.

Given those three coaches, I want Martin. The guy is intense, is a proven winner, and BLEEDS BLUE AND GOLD.

That's what we thought about CBK. The court of public opinion today is leaning the other way.

I have NEVER thought that about BK. The man is a politician.....Nuff said.

Ok, that's what I thought, even though he's a politician.

Who thought that? I don't think I've ever heard one person say that. He's very robotic and calculated in the way he speaks about the school. It feels scripted...it works because of his success this year, but it still feels scripted. Just like his locker room speeches.

Exactly.

Charlie Strong. Sounds like he is happy at Louisville though...

Any coach who truely wants to be at Notre Dame...not someone who uses Notre Dame as a stepping stone after 3 years.

had that with Weis.

Ty would be happy to accept the job too, I think. And he is available.

Love connection?

That's why I found it hilariously funny that the guy who wrote the article about BK prior to the season, wondering if he was REALLY worthy of being capable of being the HC of the Irish, questioned his ability to be a "politician." If you knew ANYTHING about BK, you knew he was a brilliant one already.

It would not be Coach Martin....

Has to be a High Profile Coach, now that the fans and wealthy Alumni have tasted what it's like to be good again they would not give the rains to an asst.coach

Yeah, this. Can't see Martin getting the job when Swarbrick was adament during the last search that the guy they chose had to have D-1 head coaching experience.

Bob Diaco...hands down! Give him the keys. Keep Martin and Alford and everyone else intact and keep rollin!

Charlie Strong. He has coached at ND and looks like he is a solid coach.
