Can anyone confirm this? I was just told this...

I'm so an Eagles fan but I do NOT want Kelly to leave ND for any reason. Can't find it...trying to see what is being heard.

Glazer, Mort., and Shefter all reporting that Eagles have interviewed BK after the game. Once he gets back from vacation he is supposed to talk with them again. Jack lock BK up please.

More from espn.com:

"Kelly met with the Eagles on Tuesday, and there was mutual interest after the interview, according to league sources. Kelly left the country after meeting with the Eagles and could not be reached for comment."

Chris Mortenson is reporting it. He is t going anywhere. ND is going to open the wallet for that season.

Not impressed at all with this move, it could really harm our recruiting.

Normally I'd think this is a ploy for more $$, but the "mutual interest" and "negotiations expected to resume when he returns" have me stepping out onto the ledge.... :flame::frusty:

Just read he went on vacation...that's good news. Unless the Eagles follow him...

Think he's trying to set the record for "fastest a fanbase has turned on a coach"?

Per NBC sports keith arnold: Spoke with one NFL source that thinks this is a standard negotiating tactic. Heard that ND and Kelly's agent were already talking new deal.

I have a feeling he couldn't of talked much if he was out of country, also he could be doing this to get a nice raise

From Pete Thamel of New York Times fame: A Notre Dame source tells me that the expected result of Kelly's NFL flirtation is a raise and an extension.

I don't get it. Couldn't Kelly have a conversation with Jack privately about getting a raise? Maybe he did and Jack didn't want to do it so Kelly decided to interview for the job. This can only hurt recruiting even if he is given a raise and plans on staying. A recruit might have doubts that he'll stay all 4 years they are there.

CBS.com reporting that the Bears want to interview Kelly too, Strike while the iron is hot, I guess.

Asked Jack Swarbrick on Monday night if he had a meeting scheduled with Brian Kelly to talk about the future. "There’s no rush to do it.”

Ask him if he's changed his mind.

I'll never look at Kelly the same way again. Just the fact that he talked to the Eagles shows his heart and loyality are not with Notre Dame 100%.
