That Bama offensive line is better than a few o-lines in the NFL. I don't care if they're in college, all those guys will be in the NFL and 4 will be first round picks forsure. That o-line is amazing and the main reason we lost the game. They controlled the game from start to finish, what a dominating group.

That line gave up 6 sacks to W. Kentucky!

anomaly, that line was the biggest reason they won this... and the fact that we couldn't tackle when the backs hit the holes. AJ McCarron could have taken a nap back there against our pretty solid pass rush. That line is scary.

Well future 1st rd pick Tuitt and future late 1st early 2nd rd pick Nix couldn't get off their blocks all night. Tuitt was invisible and Nix only broke free a few times. Their OLine was dominant and won them the game. Best hit on McCarron all night was from his Center Jones. They really are the NFL's 33rd team.

Nix didn't play that bad considering how gassed he was. He was the only guy that could move the O-line; I saw him throw Jones like a rag doll a couple times when Jones couldn't grab his jersey and hold him like he tried to do all night (anyone see Nix finally throw his hands up when Jones had two fist fulls of jersey around Lou's neck?).

They're not that good of a OL.

Something went horrendously wrong with your defense.

I agree Nix looked like the only player doing anything out there of any sort. Thank god he is coming back.

They're not that good of a OL.

Come on. They had their hats handed to them. Give credit where it is due.

Diaco had too many freaking job interviews.

The Alabama offensive line is NOT an NFL offensive line.

Alabama could be not a single NFL team.

People sound very silly when they say this.

End of story.

No one on this thread has stated that Alabama could beat an NFL team. People are saying that all 5 of those linemen will be an NFL player, all of them could eventually be starters in the NFL. The title of this thread is "That is an NFL Oline" not "Bama could beat an NFL team."

I agree with Hoosier. No one said anything about this team beating an NFL team. But if you think this Oline isn't as good or better than some NFL OLines you are wrong. Barrett Jones .... potential 1st round pick ... Fluker ... potential 1st round pick ... Womack ... potential 1st round pick ... Kouandjio ... sophomore but might be the best of all of them. Don't you think there is at least one Oline in the NFL that doesn't have four 1st round talent guys on the Oline. I know the Bears don't.

There line is better than probably even the packers.....sure if in a real situation they wouldn't be able to read nfl defenses but when it comes to pure skill they are every bit as good as an nfl line...they would play like 1st round rookie lineman who usually do pretty decent

They are a good oline, and they just got us--I think we got a little intimidated and missed tackles and then paniced. I think a whole lot of anxiety/intimidation/etc on never being in the show, or even close and we choked a little. And then we could never get it back. Tense/Anxiety/in-experience played to our detriment last night. They were not ready for the National Championship. Big players rise!!!! theirs did. Ours didn't.

We needed something from:

We need our Hero to Make an impact play and change the tone--Manti (my favorite player of all time at ND) and he didn't. He gave effort and heart!!! But, no big tackle for loss (missed 3 Tackles for Loss on my check chart), No Int, No Sacks. We needed something. It pains me to say that, I absolutely love that kid as a fan.

We needed Eifert to make something electric happen and change the tone, he should have had the one on the sidelines. But, maybe he should have demanded something, he kept trying but it didn't happen.

Tuitt needed a big tackle for loss or a Sack.

Nix needed more, but I believe he did have 2 TFL and on a gimpy leg at the end.

Cave needed to blow guys up. And didn't

I love these kids, but Big Players rise in the biggest games.

Last year in the second half we didn't rise--first half way more so (2 Pics in the end zone by Tommy really killed that one). The year before in the Sun Bowl Harrison Smith 3 pics rose, Floyd rose before his injury, Manti rose, Wood Rose. It can happen. But, the best players have to rise. Like Bama's Lacy, AJ, their LB, thier All American DB.

I think it is will come, we just needed it last night. Manti Rose all year, so it is hard for me to really ride that one. Over and over his leadership rose, heart rose, and big plays rose. Just didn't happen 1 game out of 13.

ND is on the right tract, we need some things and that was exposed. But, we have to act like we have been there before--and now we can say we have. And the next round should be better.

Go Irish. And thanks Manti for a flipping awesome career--Best Role Model EVER!!!!!!!. Thanks Cave, Kappy, Zeke, Theo, and Eifert for being studs and role models.

Thanks for the rest of the seniors too.

thread says "That IS an NFL o-line."

seems to me it's a college football o-line.

will they all be the NFL someday? more than likely, yes. But saying "That is an NFL o-line" signifies to me that group could play for an NFL playoff team this weekend and be dominant.

Don't take it so literally

Of course they aren't an nfl o-line, because they play for Alabama thank you for pointing that out to everyone. Talent wise though they are better than a few nfl lines, because in two or three years whenever the young koujiando or however you spell it comes out all 5 will be starters in the nfl.

They are a great oline... I have seen the position played long enough to know great when I see it.

What I will say is that Barrett Jones is their 4th best lineman... Warmack is Larry Allen reborn. Kuandijo was an elite recruit and is playing up to the hype. He engulfed our linebackers and never gave up the edge, DJ Fluker looked like Michael Clarke Duncan (green mile) and was rag dolling KLM before his injury. Jones was playing on one foot and held most of the night and got away with it...Steen is better than most think, his footwork is flawless.

Adding to their talent, the best MLB in NCAA history had his worst game since his freshman year. Te'o took false steps, hesitated on his reads and was dipping his head prior to contact which forces you to arm tackle...it looks like the team didnt hit much between thanksgiving and Christmas... That is a coaching decision and I do not know injury and conditioning concerns which may have supported that strategy.

As a bears fan, I can honestly say 4 of the Alabama lineman could start for Chicago... Next season. Warmack, Jones and Fluker will come out and I would select any of them and all of them if possible
