I've been wanting to get a tattoo for the longest time and always have wanted to get one Notre Dame related. I'm not sure of the location just yet. I was wondering if any artists/creative minds on here could toss me some ideas or even help draw up a rough draft of sorts. Maybe Rocketsan?

I was born in 91

Teo and Ismail are my favorite players but being from South Carolina Tony Rice and Golson mean a lot too.

I really have no idea what I want but if anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it.

You probably won't like what I'm gonna say... my suggestion is to not get a tattoo. Only get it if YOU know what you want. Take it from someone who has tattoos. Once you get the idea that you love and know you want it, it will be the perfect choice.

Hope that helps some.

When are they gonna invent a tattoo ink which lasts only one or two years?

They do make temporary tattoos that last about 6 months or so...

Nice. That's the way to go.

They have ink that is much easier to remove with lasers than traditional ink.

Last summer I actually sleeved my leg with all Notre Dame tattoos. I can send you pictures if you wanted to get any ideas from it...

I would be very interested in seeing that. PM me please?

Post your sleeve in here, man. I'd love to see your work. I'm a big tattoo fan. Planning to get something for ND myself eventually.

I'll have to take some pics and post the pics.

Go Irish!

This. I am 35 now and got my first tattoo at 17. I got my first meaningful tattoo at 27 and regret most of the ones that I have. If you choose to get something done, watch a couple episodes of Tattoo Nightmares. It doesn't need to scare the crap out of you, but it will show you what is really really hard to cover up.

I have two that are fairly big and mostly black, a real pain to cover up. Regrets regrets regrets.

With that said, my only advice is not to get the golden dome tattooed on your head.

Gotta agree on Tattoo nightmares, be sure you get something you're absolutely sure you want. That show is awesome though, watched it for 4+ hours without even realizing it... Currently working on a Notre Dame half sleeve on my right Arm... I have part of it done but I am going to add to it. Was going to include the Nat. Champ ring for 2012 if they won it but the loss last night kinda put a damper on my idea...

This is pure wisdom. I say hold off, but if you did get one, make it simple. Maybe the leprachaun on your shoulder, but again, listen to Eddie.

Sorry for taking too long to get the pic to you guys. I have been planning to do my leg sleeve for a feew years and just finally did it last summer. I started the first week in July and has it done before the Navy game this year. I am actually going to add a little bit to it here soon.

when I was 20 I got the classic ND logo on my calf. I'm now 47 and have no regrets at all. Actually planning on having it recolored.

That is Awesome! I just got the beginning to my ND arm sleeve, I'll post pics in a bit. It's a work in progress and because of my fair skin he needs to go back over a few places but all in all im extremely happy with it.

EDIT: Wanted the Leprechaun to look like me (hence the Ginger Leprechaun with blue eyes :D) I apparently bleed a lot when tattooed in the shoulder area so he has to go back and clean it up a little since it was hard for him to do the gold as my arm was bright red.... I will be adding more Notre Dame related stuff to this making it into a half sleeve. I want to add "Play like a Champion Today" and the years ND has won National Championships. If anyone has any advice on other stuff to add to it, let me know I'm open to ideas! GO IRISH

I don't have any ND tattoos, but I do have a sleeve on my right arm. My advice is don't get too detailed. Big bold lines and solid colors tend to last a lot longer than super intense detailed ink. When you pick out what you want, let the artist do his/her thing. Tip 20 on the 100 and you'll be set. Good luck.
