What's the numbers crunch looking like

I'm looking for.....number of spots we have left looks like....which players will be coming back for 5th years....Eifert may go (probable but never know)....Cierre may go (only he and his 1 year old daughter know already has draft eval)......Slaughter may come back.....guys who may be medically redshirted...guys who may transfer

I think Carlo fox watt and Martin will be granted 5th years....I think slaughter will get his 6th....I think Cierre and Eifert leave

Guys may transfer but we wouldnt want to speculate (so sensitive)

So what do ya think

We are in on some elite front 7 talent and great receivers

Torrodney Prevot

Eddie Vanderdoes

Deon Hollins Jr

Michael Hutchings

Sebastian Larue

Demorea Stringfellow

Devin Lauderdale

Juwaan Williams

We either are out of spots ALREADY or we need to clear some room....all I'm looking for is who may not be on the team next year without graduation being the reason....and whether the rest of these guys have a spot and whether that spot will be filled by a DL/OLB or a WR

Don't forget about Tausch, we don't need scholarships for him AND Brindza if it means turning away ANY of those on the list.

I hate speculating on transfers, It is not fair to those players, ND rarely has more than 1 or 2 and some years even none, so let's just forget about who transfers from the No. 1 team in America and count our blessings on this awesome class of 2013 that is coming in

I'm looking forward to seeing jones play. We can't land everyone. I'm happy with our class as is. And 2014 is looking pretty good already.

Totally agree.

I'm sorry for speculation but those are just the players whom wouldn't suprise me if they transferred...I'm not saying they should will or want to transfer....but when you are talking about a 5* DT it is important to know if the Irish can squeeze him in

Jarron Jones is a freshman who knew he wouldnt play but I could easily see fitting in next year. Chris Badger had to learn football again but you never know there. We always could use extra corners and Ferguson could be a decent wide out.

This class is already good and if these players are making there way into South Bend to visit I have a feeling the coaches know whose leaving and who isnt. I have a weird feeling we could have 2-3 more Scholarships but I doubt just one more.

Worst. Post. Ever.

First, transfer speculation is absolutely terrible. Second, it's not even good speculation. Kelly have raved about J Jones and even said at times he could be used. Justin Ferguson played in 11 games and will be a player in the WR rotation next year.

This thread should be deleted.

Andrew Hendrix actually talked briefly with the media about wanting to make a decision after the season is over about transferring. He knows he's close to getting his undergraduate degree, but being 3rd string this year has been a bit disappointing.

....so worst post ever and we still don't know how many spots...got it...thanks

I feel like I have posted this every day now, lol. 5 spots left, and of course, transfers or hardships would change that

Those 5 spots are for new recruits AND 5th years. Most likely 5th years will be: Martin, Watt, Fox, and Calabrese. Slaughter would take that 5th spot if he is deemed eligible.

At this point, I believe ND would only take an elite prospect after missing out on Muhammad. Vanderdoes and D. Robinson would qualify in that regard I believe.

Thanks....which players are being talked about for medical schollies......I know of Tate Nichols (which would be a huge blow to OL depth)

I still think Cierre should come back but I know his daughter will probably push him towards the NFL....Eifert would be best for him to go now....I think slaughter will receive a 6th...I would prefer we keep Martin watt Carlo and fox.....I wish we would keep Stockton he's hilarious in the trick shot Monday clips but I understand why we won't

Looks like in order for ND to land one of the prospects remaining they will need a transfer or medical situation to take place....possibly say goodbye to fox or calabrese (hope not).....there are very few signs of anyone on the roster currently being a team cancer so I hope nobodies football career ends other than by graduation from ND

From what I have heard/read, Ferguson is a very good receiver and can run after the catch.

Some are calling him a "steal" for ND.

Well, was on IE and it seems like there will be at least 1 transfer based on some rumors from a certain insider. A name has not been mentioned with the rumor and I am not going to speculate who it may be. As fans, we have to realize that transfers are pretty common for EVERY team these days, so dont act like ND has failed if someone transfers. Sometimes, the better the program, the more transfers you have due to an abundance of talent and lesser talented people wanting to play.

IMO I say if we can land a couple big recruits let Fox and Calabrese go. I would rather have 2 younger players that can be developed or come in and make an impact their Freshmen year than to keep these two guys. I think we will be just fine with the LB core next year. IMO the only 5th year guys we absolutely need is Martin and Watt.

Your nuts haha. I don't care how talented you are you can't let guys go who have started 3 years on a very good football team go for a freshman that has never played college football. High school to college is a huge jump to begin with and if you think Anzalone and Grace are better than Fox and Calabrese you are sadly mistaken. Maybe in a few year but not this year and not next year.

Could he get a year of med school paid for if he transfers? Has anyone ever combined med school and football?
