Very interesting. Prevot won't sign with sc and likes ND, Vanderdoes also likes ND and these elite recruits are impressed with Jaylon. Jaylon Smith sounds like a true can't miss recruit.

Just finished reading it all. ND has some truly awesome recruits coming in this next year but above all these guys are some wonderful people in general. Love it.

The comments about Prevot surprise me.

Surprised me too. Hope we poach more of the sc class...

it seems like every year their is a surprise recruite that ND lands at the end that nobody really saw coming, i wonder if Prevot would be that player this year.

after reading that article i offically can not stop smiling. ND recruiting is a snowball rolling down the hill, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger.

This writer comes off like a creepy loser.

Source: I'm unfortunately forced to cover high school sports for a living and I've seen dudes like him who think they're hilarious writers and try to be friends with 17 year-old athletes.

Fournette is a beast. Supposedly he is the no. 1 RB in the country regardless of class. he should be the no. 1 overall player next year. I have serious doubts we will be in on him. Down here in SEC country, there are all sorts of stories about inappropriate recruiting behavior in his recruitment. Can we compete with that sort of recruiting techniques?

I take solace that the author also had concerns about Smith's weight coming into ND and also that he found Robinson's tape was unimpressive. I shared those concerns. However, it was nice to hear that both of those concerns are no longer a concern!

One of my concerns was jaylon smith playing weak competition. Also, does anyone know if corey plays basketball?

Reading that article made my day, is that the kind of info that comes with a premium subscription and is he just blowing smoke?

Weak competition is nothing. Golden Tate is the perfect example... Hell, look at Michael Oher. The kids SUCKED in high school. When these kids are on the circuit, scouts recognize their ability to make the jump. The only problem with playing less competition is the possibility of having a slower learning curve. That's it. If you've got the skills, you've got the skills. Competition in high school rarely matters.

I'd disagree a little, you see all of these great athletes who play qb in high school because they can run past everyone, but they don't play qb in college.

And you also don't see those "elite" athletes lining up at qb at the better football programs who play a national schedule.
