He is currently listed as being a soft commit to Washington, BUT is planning on visiting ND per his twitter.. He has also been in contact at the All-American game with our newest commit -Tarean Folston- who appears to be putting in a good word for us..

Stringfellow's tweet (@Filo_wiz9):

"Taking my official to LSU and ND soon"

Would we have room for another WR?! He appears to have good size (6'3 190), and is listed as the 7th best receiver and 75th overall player in the class per 247composite rankings.. (He is also listed as the 9th best receiver and the 62nd overall player on Rivals)

All i can say is that if this is true---looking at lauderdale and larue and now sprnigfellow--the staff must want one more playmaker at WR!

Yeah I agree.. our new man Tarean is also supposedly trying to sell ND to Larue as well. So much chemistry with this class!

considering one of our recruit WR's now has a broken femur i can understand a serious push now for an extra body there.

This push was happening before this though.

What is concerning from someone who comes from a family heavily into sports medicine I can tell you broken femurs are actually quite rare and it's very concerning that he did it while just running and no contact.

The femur should not break like that and they better be taking a very close look and doing some test to make sure it's not a pathological issue.

Like mother always said "Drink your milk"... I had a buddy who never drank milk when he was young and was an athlete and he broke stuff all the time.

You wonder if our staff is basically saying that after Redfield, assuming we have one more spot open, it's gonna go to the best available option. So if that means it's Vanderdoes, Stringfellow, or, if we look further down the list, Larue, so be it.

PS- I dunno if this counts as premium info, but one of the Rivals guys said they were unsure about grades with Stringfellow, so we'll see.

My thoughts exactly. And I think we should take one.

What did I say a few months ago? I said another playmaker at WR was needed! :-)

I want this kid. This is something the team is missing - a big fast over-powering receiver. Add him and Vanderdoes and maybe a lb/de and call it quits.

Everybody GIVE IT UP for BlackIrish!

:cheer2: :clap2::bounce::lock1:

Love the gratuitous self-back-pat.

Certainly WR is an area in which we are lacking star power, so if we can get an elite fit, let's do it.

Not saying this is the case, but...If you swing the bat enough, you're going to hit the occasional home run. How many calls have you made that didn't turn out like you said versus the ones you called and got right? I have no problem with you, BI, but was just wondering.

Why don't you go read all my posts and come back and let us all know?

Could Will Fuller be that playmaker we need? An article on scout was singing his praises.

"Wide receiver Will Fuller, who is committed to Notre Dame, was always a sound tactician, but his ability to explode out of breaks and accelerate away from a defensive back this week was amazing. The Roman Catholic High (Philadelphia) standout has very good hands and also tracks the ball well, going up high above the defensive back to catch the ball at his highest point.

Fuller's biggest weakness is his size. He's 6-foot-1, 165 pounds, so it will take time for him to break into the Irish rotation, but he has all the talent to be a star."

Haven't really paid much attention to Will so far to be honest, but maybe he is a late bloomer and can end up being a great wideout for us?

I agree that his size is his "problem" but the dude impressed me with his hands. If he gets up to 180-190lbs, he can be a stud.

Yea the weight doesn't concern me too much. I'd be more worried if the size problem was height related, but at 6'1, he'll be ok. Longo will be able to pack some muscle on him, I read in another article that he has good shoulder width. I love that his best attributes are hands, and the ability to just fly away from corners from the line of scrimmage.
