Does the emperor lack clothes?

Michigan, Brasky, and Northwestern have real shots. LSU already crapped the bed. Oklahoma is favored IMO (based on past big12 history).

How will today's results affect how the media covers the NCG?

ESPN will just say that since every single SEC program (including Kentucky and Vanderbilt) plans on playing in the BCS Championship Game, any other bowl they could go to is meaningless and they aren't playing hard.

And then something about SEC Speed™.

Yes it does mean that but I wouldn't count on it.

DIdnt the vaunted LSU from SEC lose yesterday. One of the teams that ESPN said could play for the NC when they were jaming the SEC down everyones throat.

Clearly the SEC conference schedule is so tough that they beat each other up during the season so they have nothing left for the bowl games...except where they win, then it's the SEC speed dominating.

That's not true, THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!

Luke has a father and the SEC can lose...some truths are just too terrible to face.

lets hope all of their "top 10" teams lose. SEC is so good bc they have so many teams in the top 10..blah, blah, blah. That's because they added 2 more teams and there's 1 less cross-division game so no Bama vs. Ga, Fla, or S.Car instead they get Big 12 A&M and Mizzou...oh and they lose to A&M. SEC is the SEC of last yr. Last years' bama would beat this years bama by 30

Love the trademark symbol...nice touch HAHAA

I already have seen Enough Today between Northwestern, Mich and Nebraska that the SEC is not as DOMINANT as in years past. Nebraska got SHELLED by Wisc and they are hanging toe to toe with Georgia who I am sure in their case are a Bit Down having to play this game instead of NC game but no excuse for SC or Miss State as well as LSU.

Nebraska just gave up 70 something points to Wisconsin, yet the Georgia team that scored 28 points on the "big" and "scary" and "unbeatable" SEC POWERHOUSE Alabama, can't pull away in this game (hell even possibly win the game). Hmmmmm. Im thinkn' that there are a lot of chinks in the armor that have gone ignored and unseen for the past year by ESPN and everyone else who labeled the SEC as "DOMINATE"..

Nebraska beat Michigan 23 - 9. I guess that means Notre Dame isn't very good either since the Irish only beat Michigan by 7.

Texas A&M is way better than LSU who is way better than Alabama who is way better than Texas A&M....wait what?

It all comes down to the NC game. As long as that streak's alive, the SEC can claim they're the best.

A national title means that one team is good, unless two teams from the same conference play for it like last year. Conference supremacy (in my opinion) is about all the teams top to bottom, and the SEC makes a good case for clear and indisputable dominance.

Admit it or not, but in football playing tough teams every week negatively affects performance. In 2010 Bama was the victim of a schedule that saw its opponents have an open week prior to playing Bama, I think if memory serves, five times. Playing physically challenging teams every week takes its toll. The SEC is often a battle of attrition. After a long rest, the SEC teams do well usually in the bowls. We'll see this year I guess. The SEC is at 3-2, the only team not favored did in fact lose. Should be fun to watch.

That was probably ND's worst game of the year. Golson was like 3-8 with 2 INTs. Sorry, but if you going to base ND's talent level off the Michigan game, then you will be beyond surprised Monday. No ND fan can defend that game, but it was early in the season and we beat better teams later in the year.

Not to mention that we beat a battle tested team 7 days after getting up for a road night game against a team ranked #10.

The point is that the Georgia team that should have beat Alabama in the SEC championship game struggled with a team that just gave up 70 points in their most recent game.... The fact is that the SEC is vastly overrated my friend.

Think about this...

The media and voter obsession for the SEC is so strong, if Notre Dame had been upset by USC, this Florida team that just got WHACKED by Big East quad-champ Louisville would have played Alabama.

Did anybody else hear Charlie Strong call out David Pollack? hahaha. LOVE IT! That freaking schmuck deserves it. I can't wait until he's unemployed.
