I know the context of how this got to be an ND battle cry. And I applaud CW for the attitude and the context inwhich he used/uses it . BUT, I crigne every time I see an ND fan post a thread about it or use it as their name. First of all, most of the people over-using the term are geeky little, pencil neck engineering or chemistry students. Secondly, most of those using the term have probably never played football and even if they did were far from nasty.
Fortunately, I rarely see posters over here use it. One of the many reasons I prefer this board. It is common place on Rivals. So, let me make a plea to insist that we leave the usage of that term to CW, the actual ND football team, and of course, Janet Jackson.
I can just hear how loud the USC, Mich, OSU, UF, and Miami fans are laughing every time they read an ND fan posting about "being nasty." Sometimes, I am embarrassed at how dorky fellow ND fans can be.
P.S. I would have made the plea over there (Rivals-II) but I got banned yesterday.
