Ooh. Good question. Such a tough vote. I had to go with Christmas Vacation by a hair over Elf, It's a Wonderful Life and Christmas Story.

Though I did almost go with "Muppet Christmas Carol" as an other vote. That was my childhood staple every Christmas morning for at least 10 years.

I'm surprised "Die Hard" didn't make the list.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas-(Grinch) movie title and Bad Santa:first: Burp get me another beer sweetheart:rapture:

It's a Wonderful Life. It's not just a movie for Christmas, it's a movie for life.

My wife is in her late 50s and despite that, had never seen it until ten years ago when I convinced her to watch it with me. She doesn't like "old" movies but fell in love with it.

Had to go with It's a Wonderful Life because it is just such a classic. Christmas Story is great - I watch it every year - and Elf is way funnier than I ever thought it would be.

Mixed Nuts...

A Steve Martin classic...special because it was playing on December 22nd, 2007 - the day we waited at home for contractions to come faster...

Second is Elf: "Buddy the Elf - what's your favourite colour?"

Its a Wonderful Life....Emmet Otters Jug Band Christmas is also a good one.

I had to go with Christmas Story, just ahead Christmas Vacation.

OMG PJ, I didn't think many other people saw Emmet Otters Jug Band Christmas! I loved the Muppets growing up and adored all the early movies when Jim Henson was still alive. Probably my most beloved Christmas album is the John Denver/Muppets album. My mom played around the house for weeks before Christmas. My personal favorite on that album and in that movie is "When the River Meets the Sea". Brings a tear to my eye every time. Jim Henson and John Denver left us much too early...

Wonderful Life.

Long live Jimmy Stewart. Long live Frank Capra. Long live George Bailey. Forever exist Clarence.

I made a mistake on my iphone while voting. Meant to check It's a Wonderful Life when I tapped Rudolph on accident....

you son of a bitch...

Definitely National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Audrey says, "He worked hard on that, Grandpa!"

Grandpa Art replies, "So do washing machines!"

It's a Wonderful Life is one of my all time favorites! Coming in second would be Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and then A Year Without Santa Claus!

Picking one Rankin-Bass special over another would be impossible...

Got you something reeeaaal nice Clark!.........Uncle Eddie is Classic

Most of the straight up christmas stories are a little to sentimental for me---so i like some that revolve around christmas as my favorites.

The Ref--Dennis leary & kevin spacey

Period of adjustment--Jane Fonda & jim Hutton--

Silent partner---elliot gould

Die hard---

Mine is a Christmas Story and the fact that it's played 24 hours straight on TBS still hasn't diminished how funny it is. My parents love it...esp my mom cause it reminds her of when she grew in the 50s and 60s in Binghamton, NY. So they had us watch it growing up and we still laugh at how true all the storylines still are today.

It's a Wonderful Life is defnitely my 2nd favorite. Didn't know why my parents liked it so much until I got out of college and matured enough to enjoy it as well. Great movie for life in general. If you haven't watched the "extras" part of the DVD please do it!!! Lots of cool facts on filming and backstories. Also, look up the artcile on the real life Zuzu and where she is now.

"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation"....wasn't even close for me

Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, kiss my ass. Kiss his ass. Kiss your ass. Happy Hanukkah.
