It never ceases to amaze me how ridiculous other fans views on football are. I pick up today's paper and look to the fan line, where I see a comment from a PSU fan on ND's national title chances:

"I've been watching the laughable rhetoric between Notre Dame and PSU fans all season. It's laughable because not only will Notre Dame lose to Alabama by 40 points, but they couldn't even hang around with the Penn State team at the end of the year."

Keep in mind that I'm from Pennsylvania, but the sheer ignorance of PSU's fanbase is the reason I will never cheer for them, and will, in fact, cheer for them to lose as vehemently as I cheer for ND to win.

ahhhhhhhh.....someone else who feels my pain................

PSU fans are the worst........been surrounded by them my whole life. Every saturday PSU loses is a good day in my book.

Love this thread. I too feel this pain as I live 10 minutes from State College.

My Ohio State friend(hey,I've known him since I was 5,he's good people) agrees with you...He and a group of his other tOSU friends pissed on Joe Pa's statue before it was taken down:jaw:

Try living in SEC country. They have said there are 9 teams in the SEC who would beat ND. Don't ask me which 9. I have no idea.

I live 30 minutes or so away from State College and I absolutely agree. Hell I had to work on campus for a week a couple weeks back for my job and felt so dirty looking at Beaver Stadium. IMO they are worse then then the S. Carolina and Clemson fans I had to deal with growing up.

First time poster guys....love the site and been a die hard nd fan for all my 30 years.

Couldn't agree more with psu fans I live in central pa and I've had to listen to these morons say similar things all year. At least sec fans can back up some of their reasons. These psu fans live in a box where nothing outside of Penn state football and Joe paterno are worthy of any praise.

Welcome, McGov!

I still refuse to believe that Penn State fans can be worse than the Ohio State honks I have to live near. They're ignorant AND violent rednecks. A truly dangerous combination.

I agree...I'm sure anything is possible, but I've lived in Ohio all my life (central Ohio near Columbus for most of it) and absolutely detest osu and (most of) their fans. My experience is that if you live in Ohio and you're not an osu fan that you get treated terribly. Therefore, I went from having no opinion about osu to hating them at an early age.

Sounds like a typical ohio state fan to me.

I direct all people who hate Ohio State as much as I do to this video:

Pretty surprised that PSU fans are talking smack. Take solace in the fact that you will be around for their descent towards becoming Indiana football.

A Michigan fan told me in a strongly worded email that Notre Dame should not be allowed to play for the National Championship because they do not belong to a conference and that we should be forced to join the B1G.

None of that surprises me in that video Colin. They were likely sober too. Imagine them piss drunk gameday. Buddy of mine is a Michigan fan and went to the UM - OSU game a few yrs back at the shoe and and almost got jumped by a group of frat boys. Yes a group to one. They threw drinks at him during the game also. He has a hatred on a whole nother level now. I've seen videos of them burning couches also. This after a win. Sorry, way off topic.

You kid but I actually heard this same argument from more than a handful of psu fans these past few months. It wasn't fair, nd has a weak schedule, they don't play a conference championship, they wouldn't be undefeated in a conference, etc.

I jus sit back and laugh at them. My only response to them is their arguments against ND are all opinion based (they would lose to this school, everyone on their schedule is overrated, etc). My responses are easy: fact: ND is a unanimous #1, has the #1 scoring d in the country, and has beat everyone they played. They usually get pretty angry after that one

Good ole Creepy Valley.

I love when they lose, biggest bunch of cry ass fans on Earth.

Not sure that statue video is all that shocking, or unique to tOSU. I mean, seriously, if ND lost to Bama, and then Bama dropped an elephant statue on ND's campus two weeks later, how long does that thing last?

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't see a statue that doesn't belong to me and think "I should probably destroy this."
