He's like the story that wont die.

Stories about his twitter following habits, his gift to Megan Fox, the possibility of him winning 3 Heisman's

And that's just today, on one site.

Happy to say that I honestly haven't heard anything about him since the award show until I read this post.

The media needs their mancrushes. It was the same with Tebow. Teenage Justin Beiber fans were looking at sportswriters and saying, "Guys, settle down. You're out of control. He's just a guy".

He's like the story that wont die.

I am not surprised just as I will not be when he tanks next year and gets thrashed in the Cotton Bowl. Next mancrush?

Give the kid a break, he's only got three years left in his football career...unless he learns to punt.

^^^^Tongue in cheek but completely true.

I am a bit sick of it as well but I respectfully ask since Manziel was up against T'eo and that T'eo didn't win, is this influencing your perspective a bit?

I ask because I haven't noticed any more/less Heisman live for JF than for anyone else who has won the award in recent time...

Feel a little pot...kettle coming seeing as college football was tidal waved with Te'o Te'o Te'o for months...

Not really. I just don't think he deserved the award. His only real accomplishment was having a good game against Bama. Had Klein won it, not only would I not have a problem with it, but the media would have not ran with it since Klein isn't in the SEC!SEC!SEC!

Cam, Tebow, JF(even Ingram to a certain extent, even though his Heisman was more fraudulent then JF) Yes they all got the same hype, but its because of the sports media's relationship with the SEC.

Come on Johnny Saturday can learn to carry a clip board for sure...

I think most objective people would agree that JF did earn the Heisman. His stats are unprecedented in college football. Certainly T'eo is a great player and deserving. Klein blew it in the big game, which is where JF had his best game.

To say Cam, Tebow and Ingram didn't deserve it is hogwash... Why do you think Ingram's was "fraudulent"?

Me thinks your hate for the SEC is influencing your judgement.

Why cant you just leave us myopic ND fans alone and stop being an SEC apologist? :kev:

Klein blew one game and JF blew two. He played 4 FBS teams with winning records, and lost two with 5 TDs and 5 INTs. He compiled half his stats against 4 non-FBS or sunbelt teams. What exactly did he earn besides riding the SEC coat-tails. Hell, Sumlins other QB, Case Keenum had a similar season and had very little press, because a similar season and same result didn't occur in the secsecsec!

Ingram's Heisman was fraudulent because he wasn't even the best back on your team, had the best line in the country, and Suh should have won if the award wasn't actually the best offensive player in the SEC or USC.

BTW, I never said Tebow or Cam shouldn't have won it. I just said they had similar media hype.

Ingram won the Heisman with a statline of:

271rushes 1658yd 6.12 17TD

The Heisman belonged to Toby Gerhart, he was the best RB in America. Ndamukong Suh was the best player.

As has been stated...the T'eo coverage has been nauseating for nondomers. I love it, but many don't. I think JM deserved it. His numbers were ridiculous, and the Heisman shouldn't just be about the best player on an undefeated team, so A&M's losses don't bother me. If anything, he showed us how to beat Bama. Golson is from the same mold as JM, a play maker who can create a big play from chaos.

Anything with Johnny Football, I simply turn the channel. I even turned it away from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno when he had johnny on. I dont even want to see the guy speak. He was the least deserving of the 3 players there.

I will watch Johnny Hypeball's bowl game--pulling for the sooners naturally----
