I read on another board that there are rumors flying around that say Alford visited him last week in Florida about returning to ND. Anybody hear or know anything ?

Personally, I would prefer to let that opportunity pass. Sure he was a great pass rusher but the downside has been well documented. Move on and next man in, as far as I am concerned. He has spent a whole season sitting, would he have to sit another year for transferring back? Just sounds like bad karma to me.

LOL, I doubt there is any truth to the rumor, Would he have to sit out another year? LOL Sorry Aaron, we are doing fine without your drama, play next year for USF and go to NFL.

Seems completely out of the norm for any school to revisit a former player for a transfer back.

First, a lot of his issues are rumor based. A lot of players tweeted in his defense when he left.

Second, maybe he grew up a little and realized the opportunity he was blowing. Who knows.

If, and who knows at this point, if the coaches and players would want him back, who am I to argue?

I think that, in order for him to rejoin ND, he would need to recruit the coaches to let him in, instead of the other way around.

Aren't we right at our scholarship limit? Does a player use a scholarship when they are sitting out a year? I believe they do, so we would be taking him instead of Redfield, AQM, Vanderdoes, Hollins, etc.

Personally, I think the world has a better chance of ending on Friday than Aaron Lynch does of playing in an ND uniform again.

Maybe the kid grew up over the last year. We have no say on what the coaches do but I have a hard time imagining BK going back and letting him back into the program. BK strikes me as the type of guy to say that ship has sailed and to move on. I would imagine that he could play right away because he did not play but I don't know much about NCAA rules.

Actually, he could gray shirt but I've never heard of ND doing that.

His is married now. His wife would just come with him. I always thought when he left the reasoning was a little wierd. I mean, why not just get married if that was the reason. Maybe he's reflecting a little and thinking SB wasn't so bad...

I read this earlier today courtesy of the 'Retweets' thread (thanks 2Lakes!)

Sounds like there are rules that prohibit players from transferring back to a school that they transferred from, though exceptions can be and Skip leaving might qualify.

If Alford truly visited then that contradicts what the author states that the staff has zero interest.

I don't see it. Much like the Tee situation, the ship has sailed

I agree, highly unlikely.

My point is though, the coaches would have to want him back, so how bad could he have been if they did? Again, no proof either way, but if it is true, he couldn't have been the cancer everyone makes him out to be.

Only because the Mayans didn't predict Lynch's return!!

all of these rumors have been refuted on the pay sites like two days ago...........please put this nonsense to rest.............i

I don't wanna! I want to go about every detail of the rumor and then start 4 more threads about it for the next 3 weeks! :p ;)

He might of reached out but he didn't get a visit from anyone on the staff...I feel like singing Taylor Swift, "We are never ever getting back together!"

Done, over, caput, final, adios, c ya, beat it, whatever...

Go Irish!!!

Damn.... is there some dude posted outside Aaron house.

Yes Alford has visited him but it is to talk about life and football, Alford and Aaron are very close friends...

When i've talked to him has mentioned ND and that maybe it was a mistake but he's not coming back...

He acually doesn't know if he really wants to suit up next season but he will....

There's alot more than people know on the reason why Aaron left/had to go than any of you will ever know....

Leave this Kid alone.... Move on
