Domer Domies - Final nominations needed

To avoid voter apathy and the Holiday doldrums, we'll finish up the final four awards in one swoop.

 

We need nominations for the following awards. And again, don't limit yourself to one poster per category. If you feel more than one may be deserving, nominate both. I can't include them if they aren't nominated!

 

Mr./Mrs. Objective - This award goes to the most objective poster. Some may call them a pessimist, some an optimist, some a realist. The fact all three fit makes him/her the perfect nominee. They'll tell it like it is, good or bad.

 

Domer Domain Yearlong Achievement Award - This award goes to the poster who went above and beyond the call of duty the past year. I'm nominating Rocket for his artwork, 2Lakes for his Twitter thread, and FaithinIrishForever for his video scouting work. Other nominees are appreciated.

 

Post of the Year - This award goes to the best individual post of the year. Maybe it made you laugh, maybe it made you cry. Perhaps it was poignant, perhaps just a great post. Regardless, you feel it was the best post of this entire year.

 

Domer Domain Poster of the Year - Pretty self explanatory. This poster brought the most to Domer Domain this year, whatever that means to you. They may post a lot, may post a little, but whatever they do, you feel they deserve recognition as poster of the year (I know Rocket, 2Lakes and Faith could work in this category as well, but let's recognize them for their specialty in the separate category. If you feel they are still Poster of the Year, for work outside of their specialty, feel free to nominate them).

 

Let's have some nominations. We'll start voting in a few days!

    Looking at it with a detached, disinterested eye, I can see your side of the argument. On the other hand, given my judicial and evenhanded approach to all things, I am honor bound to point out that Cory mentions me the second time to indicate that I may not be eligible for an award after pitting me against Rocketsan in the first one. I shall refrain from an impartial plea on my own behalf in keeping with my dispassionate nature.

    No, I said your Twiiter exploits make you eligible for a separate award. Your "Poster of the Year" credentials should, and do, stand on their own merit. Otherwise I feel we are basically voting for the same award twice.

    I Love ND, the board, and its personalities. I'm glad that I can make a contribution in some way.

     

    I Do feel that Rocket and 2lakes, Hawaii, Okie etc make more of a contribution than I do.

     

    So I will be voting for Rocket or 2lakes.

     

    I would like to still be listed with those guys if possible just because it makes me feel good:)

     

    I'd like the opportunity to collaborate with Rocket and 2lakes more.

     

    I asked 2lakes if I could post a video or 2 on the Twitter thread, he was good with it.

     

    Of course a bunch of us enjoyed the Countdown thread this year. Thanks for starting that Oklahoma

    Echo is hard to beat for "objective"---;)---but how about blackirish as well, geez he just had a post today in the recruiting forum about how he doesn't see a single "difference maker on offense in this recruiting class "--:grin:-- that has to get a nomination ---although i admit echo is the consistent and active poster--

     

    How about corysold & oklahoma for poster of the year--both guys have alot of threads , alot of posts this season , alot of debates started----I formally nominate corysold to relieve him of nominating himself which i'm sure he doesn't want to do---but its done now--

     

    Good nominees for the achievement award--2lakes/ rocketsan/ Faith--all three have gone above & beyond the call of duty for posters---

    Folks, let's remember that "Mr/Mrs Objective" is a positive award. There is the ability to be objective.

     

    The definition of objective as it pertains to this discussion is: not influenced by personal feelings, interpretations, or prejudice; based on facts; unbiased: an objective opinion.

     

    Keep that in mind as more (hopefully) nominations come in.

     

    I am also nominating Oklahoma and his "jacked off all off season" post for post of the year.
