Any word on this kid? I hear he is down to two according to Scout but I'm not a member. This kid looks like ... well ... you know who. The Comparisons are too obvious not to give this kid a serious look.

I heard it was A&M, ND, and Stanford.....Then he eliminated ND and was a HEAVY A&M lean...but you never know when a team starts getting momentum...however he always HATED being compared to Manti (goes to his HS i think I know he's from Hawaii)....so if I were him it is NOT the place to go if you don't want to be compared to manti....can't blame him...his expectations would be crazy as "the next manti"

I'd be stunned if he didn't end up in College Station next year. Kid is a good recruit and a good football player, but I don't blame him one bit trying to get out from Manti's shadow. That would get real old real fast, and it's not like he hasn't already been dealing with it in HS. Different ball game when every game you're on TV some half-brained analyst digs up Te'o's name when you make a big hit.

I don't blame him but turnign away from a schooll like ND's for that reason is pretty shitty. He can take the challenge, earn a great degree for life and if he didn't live up to Manti, no one would blame him. He is the greatest LB in 125 yrs so not being better than him isn't a bad thing.

After Te'o's seven awards (and hopefully a NC to come), that shadow got a lot larger.

Never really was interested in this guy to be honest. I have liked Mike Mitchell from Texas but he looks like he may end up with Urban. I'm guessing the top OLB Matthew Thomas (ESPN) has never had us on his list. Honestly, its all about how kids respond once they get to college and what they make of their abilities instead of resting on them. Personally, I think Deeb is middle of the road but I was wrong about Spond so far so who knows really.

Reuben Foster (Trey Johnson as well) decommitted from Auburn. He got a huge Auburn tattoo on his arm before all went to crap down there. Highly doubt ND gets involved.

dont get excited, Rueben Foster never had much interest in Notre Dame, he will be SEC bound... Or Clemson, Clemson is equally as shady as the schools in the SEC.
